I woke up to this news in my Facebook feed, first I thought it was a joke, especially with Nico still having two years left on his contract. but I checked the BBC and SKY websites so it's true. I'm surprised, but I understand wanting to spend time with his family, F1 is tough on family life being away so much.
I'm happy for him achieving his dream and wish him the best for the future.

I wonder what will happen with his sponsorship deals, etc. Will they, will he continue with some of them now as the current world champion, yet retired F1 driver?
