i never look at the main twitter feed.

i mean its like

"had pizza today, it was nice"

"went for a suntan, feel great now"

That was how I took FaceBook also. I was a member for about two week's and dropped my account.

One thing that puzzles me about Twitter is what can it do that Facebook cannot?

Broadcasting. You can Tweet to thousands of people, or be one of thousands being tweeted to. Facebook's Status updates are almost all private and cannot be sent to as many people. Twitter is also more focused on being real-time all the time, whereas Facebook is realtime with timeshifting.

The main Twitter feed? You mean "Everyone"? Nobody with any sense spends any time reading that.

I do have a twitter account, but I do not tweat and have never used it.
