Whats your take on it, do you think were all going to burn to death by the sun or freeze to death by a sudden ice age, or just another reason to tax us all to death

me personally i think its all scaremongering TBH :banghead: Here in the UK the government has started giving out weather warnings we had one last week which had a level II heat warming, which was nothing more than a nice lovely summers day...scaremongering or what

I'm more afraid for my children. As they will not have a life,

but then here's the dilemma;

1.

Less big cars = Lack of designing for future cars

Lack of designing for future cars = Less Jobs

Less Jobs = Recession lasting for longer

2 .
Less Cars = More Oil Companies Going into liquidation

More Oil Companies Going into liquidation = Less funding for sports

Less Funding for sports = Loss of great teams
E.g = Fiat Yamaha , Honda , BMW , NAS CAR division cars and so forth.

Loss of great teams = Less Jobs!
You cannot win.

So no matter what we do it won't equal to anything great. So we might else
just wait? Allot of people will disagree, but less jobs?

it's hard, really hard to figure a strategic solution? Obama is doing a fantastic job, more than what i can say about Gordon Brown!!!

I can't deny that the world is heating up faster than it probably should.

However the big thing is that Gloabl warming is being used as a HUGE excuse to swindle more cash out of the tax payer. Speeding used to be bad as it could kill, now its more bad because it pollutes more.

New cars are better and cleaner, so get rid of your old ones, but it is more polluting to make new ones!

Road tax goes up as you drive a gas guzzler, but the gas guzzler may only do 100 miles a year, but the old chugger 1.4 polo does 40,000 miles a year, but they are cleaner apparently.

Its all biased towards making as much money as possible.

My mate used to do enviro studies at Uni, and he was telling me that Europe, as a whole, could switch everything off for a good year, and it would make absolutely no difference at all, china and India and the US still pump out heaps of crap.

Yet it saeems to be europe that is draining the public dry of cash to try and sdave the planet, its all a joke. :censored:

Like anything, man is exploiting a situation where he sees he can make money. Is the government using the green agenda as a means to make more money? YES. does that mean that global warming is false? NO.

and VB it amazes me when people use jobs and the economy in defence against the care of the planet... with no habitable planet there is no economy is there?

I particularly like electric cars. Just quite how is running a car on coal more environmentally friendly than my petrol-powered wheels...? :hehe:
