Re: Lost Members
When there's a quiet period on the forum, I often like to delve into the archives of older threads and bring one or two back to life again, as you all know.
In doing this, you go back through the years and see former prolific / highly active members who are no longer with us, and some have already been mentioned in this thread which I have dusted off.
However, we can now add more names to the list.
Having been a member on here since April (and I have therefore seen through the whole season with you all, except Melbourne), I can recall who were the most active members when I started. Some, like Jensonb, tex and 7UpJordan sadly seem to have left us with no explanation.
Wherever they've moved onto, all the memories of former debates, discussions and rows are all laid down in the pages of times gone by, and are often quite interesting to look back upon. Any more lost members worth mentioning in this list?
And where the heck is EwanM? Has he abandoned us for good and set up the *other website that shouldn't be named* thing?

Do you not remember Texasmr2 having a rant about how this site is supposedly geared towards newbies? Geuss he got annoyed and left. I think he used to be a Mod as well didn't he?
Have a look at the birthdays at the bottom of the forum front page. Same user do you think? I think so.

I do actually yeah. He was a bit volatile in that way, yes.
He was a mod once, also something like "Forum Sheriff", but as you said... such a volatile temperament should not be in a position of responsibility. Big respect to him though, he was a pillar of the community here once.
(Oh, and in response to your extra comment - YES! That's definitely the same user )

Re: Lost Members
I miss tex, he was by a mile one of the best and most knowledgeable posters on the forum. I do agree with him to an extent that there are a large number of 'newbies' to the sport on the forum, but I don't think that's a bad thing. The sport needs new followers all the time. It can be frustrating at times to an extent, but it would never put me off the forum.
Favourite racing series: F1, Indycar, NASCAR, GP2, F3, Formula E, Trophee Andros, DTM, WTCC, BTCC, World Endurance... etc. etc.
