I need some help finding kart pics! Years ago I had a picture of a kart that had a true front wing and a huge rear wing and I believe it was a 500cc shifter that ran 150+mph and raced on real race track's like the Nurburgring. Anyone know what class that is and know where to find pic's?

125cc Max Non Gearbox (160-190KPH)
80cc Gearbox ( top speed 160-190kph )
125cc Gearbox (top speed 170-200 kph)
250cc National (single,180-230kph)
250cc International (twin cylinder,240-265 kph)

the CIK only has the 250cc class, the 500cc class was a kart equipped with two 250cc engines but think that may have been dropped!

They are all quick. How fast is the kart you race?

Thanks AKR and yes I have seen those Superkarts but that is different than the one I had a pic of so maybe it was a 'one off' kart.

Superkarts race on full size race tracks i race on sprint kart tracks! i use the Yamaha KT100SEC called the Clubman class, im in Clubman Light, the premier class in Australia, though Rotax Light will probably over take that soon.
Clubmans race to about 100Kph Rotax 115kph but the speed is relative, youre one inch off the ground its a different feeling to doing those speeds in a car! i can only imagine what its like to Race in a superkart, it would be insane!

Can you hire a ride in a superkart? Or can you buy a ride for a day or something along those lines? If you can plus can afford to why not do it. I noticed on another thread you liked karting better than F1 so why stop yourself if you can. I never stopped myself from experiencing what it is like to drive a rallycar, you should do the same with your superkarts if the opportunity exists.

i am sure you would need a licence to drive a superkart

Get one. Just like you can easily get a CAMS licence. There are all different levels of CAMS licences as you would proabably know already. As long as you have money, you pay and get. So if superkarts need a licence, get one and then buy a ride for a day if you can. Or perhaps you may know someone that has connections or contacts? You are in the game as you race karts. If you know somone that knows someone, I think you get my drift, then perhaps you could get a ride like that?
