I had read it a couple of years ago - I didn't believe it then, so I looked it up then and ever since then my schmexy cubehead was the British driver with the most points for me. That might change sooner or later though...

David Coulthard

I agree, it's my schmexy cubehead. He must be around 400 pts or so?

Ok, this has to be the right answer....

Yes, Coulthard has been around for a long time,
but points have been slow in coming over the
last few years.

Moss was good, but the seasons were shorter.
Hailwood good too, and Surtees won some also.
Clark was a racing great, but his career seemed
to start slowly.

It has to be Sir John Young.

Ninty nine races, winning almost one third of them.
I believe the old scoring system gave him six points.
Let's say 186 points for wins. The cars were very
unreliable so let's say he got a DNF for another third.
Let's give him an average of third for the rest of the
races, so 33 X 2 (?) points would be 66 points. So far
the calculation gives him 252 points.

Jackie Stewart has it won at...oh, lets round it up to
262 points. Am I right? Was I close on the points?
Did I rule out Graham Hill too soon?
