I hear you... the "shift-shock" can be cool; but, not always... Like when you're trying to pass a mother of an SUV, whose driver seems to think they own the road/highway!!
There have been many times when I impatiently waited (while pumping my foot on the gas) for that next gear, that extra little something to get in front.
I find I don't need to do that now.
Yet!!

Sagi58, after spending a full winter with your Fit how do you like it and the cvt? Our son is looking to buy one this spring or summer.

Ab-so-lute-ly LOVE it!! I do have snow tires on it, so the winter driving was just fine!
I haven't had it in for its first oil change, yet! Amazingly enough, I have yet to spend
$40.00 to fill it and I get about 400 km to the tank!
The flexibility in the seat configuration/storage is amazing!! It's gutsy, it's agile, it's fun!
The "one" thing that disappointed me is that the trunk cover, you have to purchase that
separately and it's not as "cool" as the one I had on my 2007 Fit!

I filled up on Sunday at $1.03/L and I got a car wash,
cost just over $45.00!! Should last me about 10 days!

The gas lasts 10 days, NOT the car wash!!
That doesn't last even 10 minutes with the snow/salt
combination on the roads, at the moment!!

So you got a car wash because...

Because the salt eats away at the paint, if you let it sit too long!!
You need to show your car a little TLC, if you want it to last!!
p.s. I accidentally hit "report" this post, when I tried to quote it...

But, you get rid of the build up of salt, which is the root of all evil from whence rust comes!!
You have to give your car the chance to freshen up,
before getting down and dirty again!!

My car is 16 years old and gets about 3 car washes a year - no paint-eating whatsoever.

Are your winters brutal? Do you have ice to contend with?
p.s. the last car I drove until it was 15+ years old never had saw the inside of a car wash either...
the rust was the only thing holding it together!!

SOUTH, I assume? NOT on Lake Ontario, I assume?
Did your state go into a deep freeze that broke records?
Oh, and did you have hydro pole fires due to the salt water?
p.s. you probably have better luck when you do wash your car!!
