I thought you could select engine/chassis etc, why can I only add drivers?

Same as Jabber. I've gone the other way! Let's see how early I need to make an urgent amendment!

I'm not sure which is best to be honest, which is why I've gone for the option to change my drivers throughout the course of the season.

Jabber has gone for 5 drivers, which means not all of them will be big names from frontrunning teams. However, given the current (supposed) unreliability, it may prove beneficial in the opening races to have a bigger spread of drivers with which to collect points. If Williams actually prove decent, it may be a good time to pick up on of their drivers at a decent price early on. (Maybe I should've done that!)

However, I've spashed out and gone for 3 drivers all likely to score decent points early on, in the hope that the bigger points hauls they bring, will make-up for the fact that other members have more drivers.

It's an interesting exploration, and I expect to have a different line-up in a few races time.

I picked four with the option to change. I picked Maldonado, Rosberg, Perez, and Hulkenberg. I picked the first three because I like them and also cuz 2/3 have mercedes power units and I picked hulkenberg cuz he was cheap, had a mercedes power unit, and has potential.

I went for 1 high scorer, 2 should do Wells, and 2 point collectors. As drivers gets points for laps they complete I spread the love.
