Would it help if I translated the signature - it's a beautiful aphorism by the famous mathematician Blaise Pascal? Problem is that it's a play of words that is rather difficult to translate into English. Yes, I love the English language, but it does have its shortcomings (even though it's the language with the most words, around 500,000 as compared to, e.g., German with about 300,000)...
So, a rough translation would be: 'The heart has its reasons (des raisons), which the mind (la raison) will never know.'
