Oh yes because the 7's got banned from Le Manns for being too fast. (Mazda IIRC said that they had disconnected their brake lights at one of the corners because they did not believe a car going that fast did not have to brake for the bend.)

Having been in a C7 I can say that the interior quality has improved greatly. I like the all but the rear end of the car, also concerned about how the new LT1 engine electronics will hold up. It's a lot of power and handling for a relative bargain. I own a 72 Lt-1 Zr-1 convertible. It's fun whether driving 50 kph or 160 kph. No idea what the C7 will sell for in Europe but in Canada they start in the mid $50's cdn which is a lot of bang for the $.

Or for the same price range i'd even more rather have an M5, GTR, forthcoming Audi RS7, or even perhaps a 911...


The base c7 is $51k. WAY cheaper than any of those cars.

I was talking with a C7 owner who having owned C5 and C6 is very impressed with its capabilities and is looking fwd to the hi perf Z06 due out next year. I have a 72 convertible and love it.
