I'm way more excited for Saints Row 3 than I will ever be for another GTA game. The only GTA I have is 4 and it was alright. I put in like 18-20 hours in, but then my bro-in-law gave me a copy of Saints Row 2 for my birthday last year and the whole game is just way more fun and focused than GTA ever was. In GTA you just unlock new zones, there's no feeling that you're actually impacting the game world like in Saints Row. I love seeing my own gangsters in the neighborhoods I just took over starting fights, drinking, cruising around, etc. It's :censored: awesome

I am pretty sure Grand Theft Auto 5 will be announced at E3 this year.

But I too am pretty GD excited for Saints Row The Third (And also Saints Row: Drive-By, but then I'm a 3DS fanboy).

No I completley agree, I love SR it is amazing, the feel and freedom, TANK? no problem. ROCKET LAUNCHER, no problem! SUPER DRAGON BALL Z STYLE UPPER CUT? No problem

Amazing. I  it

But I love GTA for other things. So I want both...I AM GREEDY

I want them both. Hopefully Saints Row 3 will be more friendly to PC keyboard and mouse controls. I had hella-fun with SR2, but the controls were a little wonky. And while I am on about controls, GTA needs to either get it together or drop the helos from their series.

I enjoy both Saints Row and Grant Theft Auto in their own ways. While it's sort of unfortunate that Rockstar has been steering the GTA series in a somewhat more realistic direction, consequently losing some of the ridiculous fun of older games, I still enjoy them very much and appreciate the attention to smaller details that bring the game world of GTA IV to life. While perhaps more fun to play, Saints Row 2 lacked the polish of GTA IV and didn't have the level of detail or production values of GTA IV. SR2 also suffered from a mountain of bugs and glitches, including completely freezing my 360 no fewer than twenty times. (I still kept playing it, though.) So, again, I appreciate each in their own ways.

As I've illustrated on various message boards no fewer than a hundred different times, if the next GTA is on this generation of platforms it won't actually be titled "Grand Theft Auto V" (five). That's not how Rockstar numbers them. If one looks, we've had well over four GTA games so far, not even counting add-ons. They only increase the number tacked on at the end of the title when that game is starting off a new generation. GTA III was the first of several GTA games for the previous generation, but they never counted up to IV until GTA IV started off this current generation. It's a fair bet that the GTA V title will be reserved for the first GTA game for next-gen platforms.

Maybe. But this generation has DLC, so they could well opt to go straight to 5. They never waited for a generation switch to make GTA 2. It was on PlayStation, just like the original. It's only with the GTA 3 series that started that "no numerical uptick" thing.

If you're going to lecture people on trivial matters, at least get your facts straight.

It could be that in depth, or maybe its because they don't know what the hell they want to do. Any one play san andreas? I really wanted to get into it, but i just couldn't. I don't know why :(

I preferred Vice City too. Trouble with San Andreas, for me anyway, was that it was so big it was as shallow as a puddle. You could do all sorts of random, pointless stuff...But that's just it, it was pointless. None of it was terribly engaging and, worse, it felt a lot like it had taken attention off of other areas which should have been fully developed, but weren't. You could have girlfriends in San Andreas, though quite why you'd want to is beyond comprehension - Hot Coffee enabled or not - because the "dates" were some of the worst pieces of gameplay I've ever experienced. Not to mention the fact they featured some pretty superficial elements and arbitrary win/lose equations.

And to add insult to injury, you had to endure this crap to progress in the Casino Heist subplot. Which is a shame, because the casino heist subplot was one of the better subplots.

ahh the girl friend aspect you have gotten farther than me apparently I didn't know that started there. I love getting in cahoots with michelle in gta 4 only to run her off a speed jump and walk away :D

I just started playing the gta 4 multiplayer and i have to say that is just awesome. I love rounding up a group of my own team to befriend them in a big bus and drop it off a super jump as well and then bail

I tried to kill the first girlfriend in GTA4. You know, that one.

I was thoroughly annoyed when I was called on my cell phone and told to pick her up from the hospital :banghead:

So I was playing GTA4 this weekend while waiting for the Malyasian GP to download. I experienced the COOLEST hacker on the face of the planet.

Most of the time, when you get hackers, I should not say most, damn near ALL THE TIME, you get little no talent bottom clowns who ruin the game. He set the spawn points around the air port (collectively one of the coolest places to have MP) and was spawning fast cars for us, spawning choppers when we needed, it, just about anything on request.

I had constant xbox crashes with Saints row 2... Installed to hard drive is the fix. No more crashes.
