as much as i like Lewis, i dont want mclaren to back just himself, they should do what they always do and back Lewis and Jenson!!, with the newe points system in play too....

I think Jenson was the only credible driver still available?

Kimi Raikkonen! I think the choice had a lot to do with money and PR though.

Oh yeah, would've been fantastic to see the ice man alongside Hamilton. Although he just wanted too much money, from a fans point of view I'd rather McLaren shelled out though, still taking Jenson over Kimi is evidence of a bad call from Whitmarsh IMHO.

dont get me wrong kimi is a solid driver, but he is SO BORING!!!, imagine what the atmosphere would be like in the Mclaren garage?, with Jenson and Lewis they get along well, make funny commerical's and are a great partnership!

He's exciting on track where it counts

His interviews are always pretty interesting though,

Boring? Not sure. He is monotone as hell though, which was still hilarious. The last F1 driver that seemingly actually had any semblance of a strong personality, or perhaps arguably even personality at all. :(

Kimi rules.
If Renault get the big bucks i hope they bring him in. Would be cool if his contract says something crazy like no PR or something and he agrees a paycut in exchange... hehehehe

OR....... Maybe Kimi will be the next Stig??!! if anybody is the Stig... its Kimi.

He would definitely fit into the rule :D
He mustn't talk and he must go quick!
He would just ask Top Gear for some champagne and ice-cream as well as money :D

Problem is it rains alot in Britain, we don't want clarkson saying: "here's the lap", only to cut to the stig in t-shirt and shorts eating ice cream - well, maybe not constantly.

I have to admit that i didn't mind Kimi at all. The way he treated some of the press who ask dumb questions was great.

They really had no answer when Kimi gave it to them. He always gave me the impression that didn't give a feck what the idiots had to say.

I just wish he was still here to put that twat DC in his place, god he freaking winds me up. He might as well bend over and part his cheeks for Red Bull.

Between the two.

If I was looking for a driver to drive the 24 hours of Le Mans and be part of a 3 driver group. I would pick a driver that would give me 12 solid hours of consistent lap after lap after lap performance, that would be Jenson Button.

If I wanted a driver that would be able to wring out every single ounce of performance that could be wrung out of a car, and achieve what others wouldn't even attempt, that would be Hamilton.

Without a doubt, the best driver pairing on the 2010 grid is McLaren's.

Sorry but Lewis will do both, he will give you consistent laps after laps and still get the best out of the car. Like it or not, Lewis is just a better driver than Jenson period.

MacLaren dont need to favour Lewis he will 9 out of 10 beat Jenson anyway.

Sometimes the truth is hard to swallow.

Whitmarsh, Hamilton and Button have all ruled out favouring Lewis' tiltle bid.

Whitmarsh- (Autosport) He has rule out favouring Lewis Hamilton's bid despite him being 35 points ahead of Jenson Button

Hamilton- (Times)Has said he neither needs nor wants the team to favour his title bid.....the best way forward for both drivers and the team is that they give us both 100% they can.

Button- (Times) Reiterates that the team continue to equally support both drivers, that he would have it no other way. This is motor racing that we do.

What a refreshing take on the word racing :)

They have to eventually, I suppose they are still trying to bridge the gap to redbull which is probably their main priority, but still, Lewis will be much better of if McLaren started focusing their resources on him.
