Time for something suitably cryptic.

When, where and with whom did push beat pull?

1959, Sebring, Jack Brabham in a Cooper-Climax.

Brabham pushed his car over the line to win the 1959 WDC over Tony Brooks who pulled teeth for a living.

Do you mean what was the first race where a rear engined car won? If so, Sorry for giving it away, and I'm too lazy to look it up.

... where a rear engined car won? ...

If that's what you meant, my answer's the same but the reason is first rear-engined WDC. If you meant the first race that would be 1958, Argentina, Stirling Moss.

Thanks to Madbrad for ruining my wonderfully cryptic question!

Yes the question was concerning the position of the engine and the first victory for a rear engined car.

Smokin' has had a lucky guess and got it right with Stirling Moss and the 1958 Argentinian GP. Over to you Smokin'.

Some drivers' surnames can mean something else in a language other than English; for instance, Schumacher means "shoemaker" in German (no longer in current usage, I'll admit). Which drivers names mean the following? (All current drivers):

1. Catholic communion.
2. Of it remains
3. Subtle.
