What they sorted out was the steering mechanism that doesn't make the car faster it just makes it provide better feedback.

Exactly, it may not have made the car itself faster but it made the car+Kimi faster. And better feedback for Kimi, not necessarily for anyone else.

This cruise and collect specialist never ceases to amaze me with some of the dribble he talks. Fact is he loved the car at the start of the season when he though he was going to hand Lewis his bottom. As the season has gone on and Jensons obsession with beating Lewis has taken hold and him getting a royal beating from Lewis he has liked the car less and less lol.

He may be close to Lewis but the picture does not tell the true story. :(

His one wish and MW is for this cruise and collect specialist to score more points than Lewis over the time period he has been at Mclaren and to finish ahead of him this year. :nono:

IF Lewis has mechanical problems this weekend then even the moist hardened hater has to admit that something is amiss.

I really can't wait for Perez to give this cruise and collect specialist a really good beating next year.

You know, your argument may hold some credit, if you didnt resort to name calling like a 7-year old in a school playground, and just used Buttons name.

Come on, calling Jenson a cruise and collect specialist his hardly what i would call name calling, if i was to really call him names i would get the ban stick lol.

What you are really saying is my argument holds up but just call him Jenson, right?

Jensons problem is he believed the British f1 Jenson groupies and now living up to that has done him no good. After last year he really thought he had Lewis beat and now this year he is getting a royal beating and it hurts lol.

Button just isn't a very good driver. Simple as that.

He can delude himself all he likes, but the truth will show itself next season imo.

So a driver with a championship, albeit one, isn't a very good driver? Now who else only has one championship and therefore isn't very good? Hmmm, now that's a thinker...........

"If anyone knows [the track], probably we're the ones that know the best because probably our simulator is the best on the grid," he added.

"We have a good feeling for the circuit. It's very tough on the cars and the tyres - especially the first sector. Turn one to turn nine is very fast and it's just changes of direction all the way through.

"Our car seems to work well in that environment, and then you've got a lot of slow corners towards the end of the lap.

"We should be competitive here but I'm sure Red Bull will be, I'm sure Ferrari will be and Lotus. So it be a competitive race and that's what we want as well - we don't want one person to go away [at the front] and win this grand prix.
[/quote]

And Lewis has a slightly different take on the use of a simulator to learn the track.

Q: So far you have only had the chance to drive this track on the simulator. What will be the challenge in reality?
LH: To learn the track. Even if you drive it in the simulator, it will still be a new circuit, which is very tough to learn. The track itself looks spectacular. Although we have a very good simulator, it is very different sitting in the car. The simulator does not have a G-force, so you cannot get the real sense of speed. Also you do not get a real feeling for the right line and the braking points, which of course is extremely important, not only for the qualifying but for the race as well. Here Turn 1 looks amazing, as you cannot even see the apex until you get right to the corner, so finding the right line will be very challenging. So my guess is that tomorrow you will see a lot of people going off the track, or at least going very wide. We hope that we will be able to transfer the pace that we had in Abu Dhabi without the reliability problems that we had there.

Damon Hill, Nigel Mansell... guess neither are good drivers...

To call Button a "not a very good driver" is grossly unfair; is he the best driver currently? NO! but you don't win world titles and drive for top four teams without being "good".

Kimi?

Wasn't thinking of him.

Not thinking of them either but I have my doubts about Hill and the Williams that could nearly drive itself it was so good!

Have to agree with that! What is it Vlad says - hatters got to hate.

If you say that Damon's world championship winning car could nearly drive itself; you also have to apply that to Mansell as the 1992 Williams had all the trick gadgets that allowed him to win so convincingly. I would say that the 1992 Williams was equally as dominant as the 2011 Red Bull!

No. My name appeared in the middle of something I had nothing to do with. So how did it get there?
