Yeah but the Button bashing is f****** depressing. He's no that bad!

I used to enjoy button bashing while playing Mortal Kombat...

But not to worry Andrew, next season it'll be Rosberg bashing instead!

Yeah, I can see it now. Ross Brawn will be the new Whitmarsh. Brawn and Britney bashing - could be an Olympic sport. :hehe:

This is so so so SO TRUE.

Ross Brawn is just so far off Whitmarsh, different animals!! Lets watch with interest how Whitmarsh manages his disturbingly good looking driver and his exciting young latin driver. OOOOOO, handbags!!

Personally I am looking forward to the Hamilton/Rosberg pairing; both were GP2 champions in consecutive years, but more than likely we won't see that competition if Hamilton has #1 status!

He doesnt. Brawn has said clearly its equal status. So that excuse is out the window already.

and this
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/19765967

"There isn't a number one status," he said. "To be clear, Lewis never mentioned that in all the discussions we had with him.

"He wanted to make sure that he had parity, that there was equality in what was done, but he never ever asked for number one status.

"We wouldn't be keen to give that to a driver because it tends to say you're not looking after the other driver as well as you should."

Lewis has never wanted number one by default, I wonder why he was keen to request parity though? Hmmmmmmm martin???

I hope that it is true that both drivers have equal status and not just media propaganda from Mercedes!

At least Rosberg will be allowed to have the lower number on his car this time! The whole reasoning behind THAT situation at Merc was ludicrous.

The reality is that it is only fans (of the forum jockey variety) that this #1 status thing means anything to. To the media, it only meant something when one of its manifestations - team orders - became visible.

For me its crystal clear - every team has a team number #1 status. There are transitional times, but the notion of a team #1 is set at every team.

Lets also be clear, no driver (well no driver worth his salt) is intimidated by the team #1 status. Lewis wouldn't care if his contract said at the start of the season, Nico is the #1, he would only need the knowledge that he can gain the #1 position - F1 drivers believe is their skills and abilities. Lewis would go to any team with any driver because deep down he feels, in the same car he can beat anyone. He would go to Ferrari and partner Fernando, he would go to Red Bull and partner Seb, because he believes he is better. For their part, Nando and Seb would feel the same way, they don't care who their team-mate is because they too feel they can beat any other driver in the same equipment.

And that Spanky is borne out by what Brawn said. Lewis never mentioned number 1status, it wasnt an issue (never has been for Lewis) But he was keen to insist he gets parity of treatment , opportunity etc, which I think is rather telling.

Time will tell. I'll have to keep a copy of this somewhere and dig it out in 12 months time! :hehe:

Wasn't Whitmarsh pretty great for a while, but now he's the devil incarnite?

Personbale? Is that not DD's latest toy in the dungeon? Rolls a person up into bale where they are then left in a field until such time that they are deemed to have paid their debt to society?

I wasn't speaking about you per se, just latched onto your comment and Lew's. :)

Well, in my book he's an improvement over RD

There's a compliment in there somewhere. Ah yes, he's in your (little fuschia) book! :hehe:

Debatable. I much prefered Ron at the helm, and he has success on his side. Been a little disappointed of late.
