Sorry JB, I dont intend to be in your bad books but it's just my opinion. Unfortunately I can't see Jenson as a great driver no matter how much I appreciate your 'presence' in these forums.

Bud..Jenson wasn't their first choice. So I think they found it strange too but under the circumstances he was the most economically viable when matching investment - talent.

Check out his salary for 2010. For a 'WDC'.

so who was their first choice lol

Kimi, no?

And from my interpretation it would be more accurate to say Kimi rejected them.

how do you figure that? Kimi went on the record as saying he only wanted to stay in F1 with a top team. His manager met with McLaren, Kimi wanted less sponsor duties more freedoms to party and what not yet McLaren were the ones to say no to his demands.

You got it wrong

I'm never wrong biatch 8-)

Yeah, it was something to do with him wanting more money, although to be honest I'm not sure how keen Kimi was to stay in f1 anyway, but they already gave him an offer, no? Suppose its where you define it, they'd clearly rather have Jenson at a lower price than Kimi at a higher price, though does rejecting him are we implying they'd rather have Kimi over Jenson (ie price is removed).

At anyrate, Kimi in the McLaren would've been quite cool.

Kimis camp was surprised McLaren rejected their offer actually.

So was I. Although McLaren probably knew more about the Jenson Brawn situation, although had Kimi shown more motivation I think they might have considered him worth the investment, it was a gamble with regards to which Kimi Mclaren would get.

Not sure how it is where you live but usually the company sends the person an offer, not the other way around.

If Kimi wanted 50mil, it means that Mclaren sent him 30mil and he said no.
If Kimi wanted 3 sponsor events, it means Mclaren put in the contract he had to do 5.
Not the other way around. (usually)

That's not how talent negotiations work. You don't just send job offers to Talent like that. You negotiate. That means both parties sit down together and discuss what they want. Which means if Talent makes a demand that the employer doesn't like, they can say "no" too.

Ok, i guess I'm more familiar with the good old job offers that you may get from your average, everyday company.

THIS CAN GIVE AN INDICATION OF WHAT THE COLOURS WILL BE

https://www.mclarenshop.com/webapp/wcs/ ... Preference

BLACK AND RED BABY!!!

THE CAR WILL BE COLOURED PINK AND PURPLE WITH SOME NICE PASTLES BECAUSE LEWIS AND JENSON LIKE THEM!!!

I think judging by the team wear this is as close as we can get at the moment..
