Faster than the Redbulls by 4 tenths all the sudden? Highly doubt that!

me too!

Ferrari may be fast enough, they've had a good car in the prev 2-3 races. Good for a challenge, but how many times have cars been 0.5s faster than RB only for them to lash it out in Q........... i think it will be close with Ferrari and Mclaren. They both have to wait for RB to make mistakes.

Exactly.

Looking at Lewis' 7th with only 10 laps run in P2 versus Alonso's 35 laps. Lewis' time was on the hard compound everyone above him on the soft compound.

I'd say McLaren has sorted out the new blown diffuser and Lewis likes it.

lewis liked the new chassis in Silverstone, now as it has been upgraded it should be even better. Tomorrow's qualifying will be exciting!

He also came out when the track had better grip and possibly low fuel. Who knows. But anyway, i really do think it will be Mclaren and Ferrari battling behind Red Bull, whatever work Mclaren had to do, i'm sure they are working on. Maybe Ferrari will have a light edge in the race because of the tires.

hard to read much into todays times with the changeable conditions. With a wet P3 predicted will have to wait to the dry Q for the pecking order! But i think as Ant was saying Ferrari were running on lower fuel than the bulls as they were quite a margin quicker in S3 which is the sector that highlights fuel loads.

But Chandock disagreed with that. I'll stick with Chandock,

although redbull being slow (ish) in practice means nothing anyway.

Ferrari are close, thats good, just don't mess up the race now. Good to see Massa seems to be struggling less, although theres still a pretty bit gap to Alonso. However, it looks like someone's finally caught up to redbull?

Not good for Force India, hopefully just a blip. Sutil drives good races, so maybe still a point or two.

Sutil will be starting in 17th due to replacing a gearbox which is a 5 place penalty.

Oh yeah, ah well.

It looks like Mark took it slow on the last round of fast laps becuase he messed p the first corner, now Alonso was behind Mark, maybe Alonso got held up a little?

Red Bull's Mark Webber: "I got a little bit wide on the entry to turn one. It wasn't good enough and I lost the position to Felipe which was a shame. I knew is was going to be tight. It would have been good to be amongst it. Seb did a good job to get on pole so it's a good day for the team."

------------

Something else I realised was how its been roughly between Alonso and Vettel all weekend and the Mclaren's ended up being a step behind redbull and Ferrari. I think perhaps its probably becuase with the possibility of rain, teams just get on with finding the sharp end of their pace and setup (ie for quali) rather than going round and round on long fuel runs.
