From MercyMurcia on 606: "I've just seen a pic of McLaren using the green paint! Horrible flashbacks of testing 2009 are now full swing in my mind! Does this mean there are big aero problems with the side pods?"

doh!

Hmm.

Kobayashi now just over three tenths behind Massa.

BBC Sport's Sarah Holt at Valencia: "I return from my special mission at McLaren HQ with news on the 'fluminescent' paint daubed along the side of the car. First of all, the team say there is 'no cause for concern'. They have been using the paint, known as flow-viz, for periods during both days of testing but say it is completely normal and does not flag up underlying aerodynamic problems. Lewis Hamilton has returned to team HQ to say he's happy with the car this morning while test driver Gary Paffett reported back that there was a close correlation between the data coming from the simulator and the track during his running on Monday."

I suppose they wouldn't admit it if they did have problems though :D

Hello to all of you in the world of F1.
Thank god the season has got underway, i was dying of boredem waiting to hear those engines fire up and people get busy and now the wait is over!!
I have one question though, is it possible to turn up at the pre season testing, purchase a ticket and watch it all happening?

using flow vis to correlate the wind tunnel,CFD and testing data....whats wrong with that again? Its called proper engineering! :hehe:

I panicked when I saw the pics of flow vis, but after reading the announcement I was able to relax and enjoy my Rice Krispies :)

I know this is only guess work but ....

In the press room are saying that the rumors and respected English journalist James Allen has been dropped, that Ferrari and McLaren are testing with a load of about 100kg of fuel. While the others are no larger than 50-60kg.

What truth there is in that I don't know
