Also, for what's it's worth, the free-will argument also exposes another contradiction in Christian doctrine, and no theologian has ever been able to explain it. The Fall was predestined to happen, and God, in his omniscience, was aware of this. Furthermore, God took no action to suitably deal with Satan, and allowed him to travel to Paradise unhindered. But yet, at the same time, Man was meant to have free will?

Why are you going on about Christianity to me? I've said that I don't follow that faith, hence, I don't need a lecture on the contradictions of it's doctrines...

oh no......

You seemed to be talking about the Abrahamic god. If not, I apologise. My point about the very poor quality of the existence of god(s), and probably the free will argument as well, remain valid.

he is. but he isnt Christian so is attacking it. quite funny really just proves how pathetic Religious people are! their religion is right and anyone elses is wrong!

its a duck up world we live in and its all because of you pricks! which imaginary friend you chose to believe in is your business just dont preach your s*** or preach against others religions because history has shown this form of petty bickering its the cause of wars!

How am I? Where do I indicate that I'm talking about the Abrahamic God?

Here:

For argument's sake, if there was a "God" why would we he want to be found out? What would be the motive? To turn everyone into a theist even though he has given them free-will and choice...

Don't get me wrong, I don't give Noah's ark was actually real especially concerning the practicalities but you don't see me calling it s***.

The Noah's ark post was an example.

The belief that God has given free-will to humans isn't exclusive to Christians.

Sorry if you got the wrong impression there...

So he can prove his existance and encourage people to belive in him.

If there is a god then i'd say not really intrested in us, i mean why would he let us commit attocaties against each other some in his name.

Why let Nazi germany kill millions of people just because some biggots consider them sub human?

I've yet to hear one that follows a relgion explain that one.

If Noah's ark was real our not don't mean there was a god.

It's quite simply wrong to claim the human body is perfect, too. I mean, our eyes, which creationists hail as being perfect, are flawed in a couple of ways. They have a blind spot, and I've needed spectacles to read since I was in my mid teens!

Yes, the octopus evolved a similarly powerful eye but in a different way and that eye doesn't have the blind spot (where the nervus opticus comes in). So, either god just dabbled with the human eye and didn't get it right but did so with the octopus or god simply likes octopussies better than us :P:rofl:

And look at our screwed up spine due to us starting to walk upright: all kinds of back pain and problems all the time. That one belongs in the FAIL thread!:banghead:

Or women's birth canal/head size of the baby causing one of the most difficult births in mammal species where the baby has to twist and turn to come out - compared to chimps where it's literally a straight forward matter

There are many more examples of pretty dodgy 'designs' in our body...

You have a son, he gets a skateboard for his birthday. Do you not let him ride it in case he gets hurt, or do you let him ride it knowing he could get hurt? You let him ride it of course rather than being over-protective.

Your right though you've still never heard anyone that follows a religion explain that one

Anyhoos this thread is getting beyond ridiculous. Everyone has an answer for everything, so the argument is futile. And for the record, it surely takes a bigger person to allow other people to follow whatever beliefs they have without ridicule, than be dragged into an argument that nobody will win. That is all

Sorry there's a distinct diffrence between the risk of a minor injury from a recreational activity and the planned extermination of an entire race of people.

Your completely missing the point. Its a philosophical statement about allowing mistakes. However I suppose I can't expect everyone to understand that

The atheists have won. The only thing faithites can offer are delusions and deeply problematic ancient scribblings.

No i belive they knew exactly what they were doing.

Are you suggesting that they didn't?

I mistake is when somone does somthing they did not intend or to make an error of judgment.

in their eye's they did not do either.
