That's funny. I distinctly remember one of his comments being along the lines of "the team should have told me".

Are we sure it was him saying that and not the team saying "Oh we should have told him"*

*Cos, you know, F1 drivers are nowhere near smart enough to look RIGHT IN FREAKING FRONT OF THEM

:hehe:

Absolutely correct.

All of a sudden after this weekend's disaster I am not very confident about Williams' chances this weekend. They finally have a top 4 car, but the team are throwing away golden opportunites. Nico will go and top all the practices again and then wind up 7th or 8th on the grid on a light fuel load and Nakajima not only doesn't make it out of Q2 but finishes rock bottom during the session.

I'm not really sure which teams are placed where at the moment I think the race in Bahrain will clear a lot of things up if it goes cleanly, but then the next race is Spain and many of the teams will have very large upgrades.

I'm not sure Williams do have a top 4 car, they have benefited from not using KERS and having one of the three double deck diffusers and they have a top guy in Rosberg but they haven't looked great in terms of wet performance and tire usage. I would expect them to fall behind BMW, Renault and McLaren by the season midpoint unfortunately. I would include Ferrari in that list but I have no faith in their ability to recover atm

Bahrain, as bland as it is, provides the cars with a good work-out. It's got fast straights and a wide range of corners. So, I think we'll see who has the best all-round car and who's strongest in which department.

Hopefully Nico at least will finally pull through, the circuit should suit the car anyway....

Providing it stays dry

ordinarily i would say youre crazy to even worry about the weather because its in the middle of a desert but then the recent rains in Qatar have made me lose faith in the worlds weather patterns :hehe:

I think Nakajima is making the FW31 look not as good as it really is. Nakajima is holding Williams back and Nico really needs a driver who can push him.

The car hasn't had any new parts yet but the team have enough resources this year to give the car a full development programme. Unlike the 2008 car which they decided to abandon around this time last year.

Thankfully Nico hasn't said that yet, and Bahrain is another one of his favourite tracks so hopefully he'll produce some goods this weekend. Apparently another interesting point is that Shanghai has NEVER been a Williams circuit, even in late 2004 when the FW26 was turning good it didn't run well there.

Ha Ha I think the average rainfall for Bahrain in April is 1cm.
