From what Brawn says they still have alot more in store and I believe them.
I forsee many broken hearts this season.

Mine very well might be. :(

Does my bro need a hug? :D

I'll tell you after Abu Dhabi! If it's an Englishman who's champion, yeah. If it's an old Brazilian, I don't think anybody would be able to keep me in one place for even a second :P

Stop, please.

:P

There are rumours aplenty regarding this situation. Some are saying that at least one team could have a new diffuser ready this weekend, but I think that's a little too soon, to be honest. Bahrain is a little more believable, but still it could be too early to have developed the diffuser properly. Still, any gain is a good gain, right?

Yes, I agree with you. From things I have heard from the media and stuff, it seems possible.

Newey starts work on new diffuser

By Steven English and Gerhard Kuntschik

Adrian NeweyRed Bull Racing technical director Adrian Newey will not travel to this weekend's Chinese Grand Prix and will instead focus on re-designing the diffuser of the RB5.

Today's ruling by the FIA's appeal court that the diffuser designs used by Brawn, Williams and Toyota are legal has prompted Red Bull to change its car, which the team hopes will be ready for the Monaco Grand Prix at the end of May.

"We are working flat-out on a new solution already," said Red Bull's motorsport advisor Helmut Marko. "As the verdict became official, Adrian [Newey] immediately cancelled his flight to Shanghai and will stay in the factory. If everything goes according to plan, we will have the 'new' car ready for Monaco."

Marko says Red Bull was angered by the decision to approve the three double-decker diffusers because it had already submitted a similar design for approval and had it rejected.

"What angers us is the fact that we had approached [Charlie] Whiting for a clarification on a diffuser solution like the one in question and we were told it was illegal, therefore we did not pursue it any further though our design team had similar ideas," said Marko.

"I wonder what impact this will have on cornering speeds. I assume there will be problems soon when cars are going too fast, and the airflow the double diffuser creates for sure will make overtaking more difficult again. Thus it is against the spirit of the rules agreed in the working groups."

I do not think that any of the teams are that innocent that they have not already been gestating a trick diffuser since they first took to the track.

I've been keeping silent on this issue. Here I come! :D

I was always for the rear wings of the three cars in subject. Be it unfair, I just like the fact that Ferrari and McLaren are at the back, and we have new teams leading. I still think Ferrari have more issues on their hand than just the rear diffuser. Their new car is really crap. McLaren have exactly the same problem. My honest opinion is that their car is even worse than the Ferrari. I reckon Lewis Hamilton's ability to finish in the points is just evidence of how much of a better driver he is. With a new rear wing, Hamilton will get podiums and a win or two this season, if he doesn't get disqualified from the championship.

I honestly cannot see a Ferrari or McLaren winning any of the Championships. But, Brawn won't be as successful this season with other cars matching their rear diffuser. I see their rear diffuser more "illegal" than the other two. I have absolutely no problem with the other two cars.

Renault will have a good car for China, Alonso will do great, and Piquet perhaps as well. It's really a make-or-break season for Nelsinho, and this decision, and Renault's preparation for the decision will do them favours and Nelson.

I don't like Ferrari's preparation. It appears they have been too busy waving their winger at the other teams, than actually doing something. It also appears that Ferrari did some testing of their new front wing. Isn't that illegal?

The Brawn actually has the most legal diffuser of the 3. But that's a nonsensical thing to say since things are only legal or illegal - and all three diffusers are perfectly legal.

Congrats are in order i must say
But i think it's going to be good for the sport to give us all a chance to see what teams are going to pull through with the 2009 season under way. Interesting at most I must say :D I think this weekend will be very interesting to watch while I see Ferrari trying to pull some stunts to even get a few points  Lets hope for a decent race ahead.
