what you talking about? that was an awesome race... as a ferrari fan that you are, it was schumi's only victory of '05 :D

edit: it was also schumi and rubens last 1-2!

Gifts for Ferrari

i sat through it, but didn't see all that much of the race seeing as me my mates ranted the whole way through the race.

That is a load of :bs:

If this goes ahead.

The whole point will be, when they get to Melbourne for the first race, the guys will want to leave there with a gold medal.

So a driver would be happier with a little crappy medal as opposed to the nice big cup he gets just now for winning? He's a deluded old fool! If we had the F1 that Bernie and Max want I don't think anyone would be interested.

I am seriously desperate that this doesnt go ahead!
Is there anyone who wants it to go ahead apart from Bernie??

Probably Mad Max, Bernie's daughter Tamara (who will probably get extra pocket money for saying yes so she doesn't have to earn money again by taking her clothes off), Al Capone, Saddam Hussein, Bin Laden, George Dubyah Bush, Adolf Hitler, Mussolini, Rusputin, Emperor Caligula, Charles Montgomery Burns, The Klu Klux Clan, The Spanish Inquisition etc etc etc...

i hope FOTA do a break away series! even Ferrari are questioning the FIA's direction in regards to the engine regs.

When Ferrari are speaking out against the authorities, you know something is seriously amiss. Dissent from Ferrari is completely unheard of.

The FIA is used to getting its way and even Ferrari may not be able to stop it. It will take a breakaway series where Bernie and Max have no say in anything to get any real change

If there is a breakaway sport, it will be poo.
I'd probably stop watching them all.
More corporate garbage, more sponsors, just turn out to be more "Crappy Motorsport Ideas"

What has always annoyed me is that the teams don't realise how much power they really have. Ecclestone and the FIA have been laughing at the whole lot of them for decades. Occasionally, the odd team has tried to stand up to them (McLaren, Williams, Lotus and Tyrell, for instance), but they have been punished for doing so. If the teams presented a united front, however, they could curb the dictatorship of the FIA and Ecclestone.

This had me thinking, what if Bernie's new point system applied to 2008. What would the championship standings look like.

2008 Actual Standings 2008 according to Bernie
1. Hamilton _______________________1. Massa ^1
2. Massa __________________________2. Hamilton v1
3. Raikkonen ______________________3. Raikkonen
4. Kubica _________________________4. Alonso ^1
5. Alonso _________________________5. Kubica v1
6. Heidfeld _______________________6. Kovalinen ^1
7. Kovalinen ______________________7. Vettel ^1
8. Vettel _________________________8. Heidfeld V2
9. Truili __________________________9. Rosberg ^4
10. Glock ________________________10. Glock
11. Webber ______________________11. Piquet ^1
12. Piquet _______________________12. Truili V3
13. Rosberg ______________________13. Barrichello ^1
14. Barrichello ____________________14. Coulthard ^2
15. Nakajima _____________________15. Webber V4
16. Coulthard _____________________16. Nakajima V1
17. Bourdais ______________________17. Button ^1
18. Button ________________________18. Bourdais V1
19. Fisichella _____________________19. Fisichella
20. Sutil _________________________20. Sutil

Only 4 driver stayed in the same place, Kimi, Glock Fisi, and Sutl.

Also, Coulthard on front of Webber. Anyone think thats fair. Piquet ahead of Truili, again, :bs: system

Bernie is trying to make F1 a monkey circus IMHO.
Have any of you seen any motor racing where drivers are being awarded medals (like in Olympics)?! Guess not.
IMHO, the now defunct Champcar had the best scoring system: 12 received points, 1 pt for P1, 1 point for fastest lap.
But nothing is impossible in F1 nowadays :(
Bernie wants more show, and more money IMHO. And that's not the way F1 should be.
