There are so many factor's to consider from the past two season's and the result's that the debate would take page's. If Alonso repeat's this year I salute him but I dont see his future to be as bright as the past few season's.

One more thing why wouldnt ferrari fans want a two time WDC in there ranks, it would go half the way to solving our driver problem, get nick, nico or luis and u solve the other half of the problem!

It doesn't matter if he won 10 titles, its the guy inside the cockpit. Sure he has bags of talent, skill and outright pace but you have to have the personality to go along with it and Alonso for me doesn't have it.

Because Alonso has shown his true color's. It's like the guy who alway's pay's the bar tab but you never know when he is gonna stab you in the back. That's just my outlook.

alonso hasnt even been any where close to his best this year, far too many mistakes !

So following your logic, perhaps he has peaked and had two good years instead of Hamilton's one... SO FAR. As far as I'm aware the season isn't over and, at this point, Alonso is in second place. I certainly agree that Alonso has more experience of playing the end game, but don't underestimate the resolve of players like Hamilton.

True. I must agree.
Scott Speed was a very fast driver, and did have some great races, like monaco. But he was a bit of a sausage, so he got fired. Simple as that

Yeah but I went on to say that that proves alonso is really good, a top 3 driver no doubt because even mediocre he can keep up a chalenge, then when he goes up a gear he just seems in a different league, I'd love to see him at ferrari!

so any more news from the "tabloids"? secrets revealed about AREA 51??, David Beckham is actually a woman named Becky Beckham, VW sold Lamborghini to Kia. Brawn is heading to McLaren, Ron Dennis sold his share for $100mil and now is heading to Renault as requested by Jac Nassar, Flavio quit F1 and is now a DJ at a disco, Hans Stuck just signed a secret deal and will be replacing Heidfeld in 2008, this whole "spygate" was ochestrated by Ron Dennis so FA can pretend to defect to Ferrari and then he would REALLY steals Ferrari secrets back to McLaren, and Phil T Ho, well guessed the Ho says it all. Any more stupid rumors you would like to link for this week??

How about this one? (not a rumor though...)

The last question got a very short answer from Massa. Is there the slightest chance you will not be in Ferrari next year? Answer: "No."

And this:

Raikkonen then dismissed media speculation that Alonso could move to Ferrari as "just talk… It would interesting to race him in the same car but I don't think it is going to happen."

Hmmmm:

"For next year I have a contract with this team and I don't see any problem on that," he [FA] told reporters in the paddock.

"I won four races, I make some good podiums and I am fighting for the world championship so everything is going quite well for me and I am happy."

That's the same in football when the Chairman gives the manager the dreaded "vote of confidence". The manager not performing up to scrach and next week he gets his P45. Alonso comes out with this just before the most important GP of the year and everything between himself and McLaren are rosy. I doubt it.

It's getting canned. The titles of various bits of officially required bureaucratic paper that announce that your services are superfluous to requirements. They signify that you are a has-been, a corporate corpse, a "bit crippled" in the gainfully employed department, a burned out candle, a dead parrot.
