Horner said Seb was going to Ferrari and there's little to doubt him in making that statement. The likely wranglings are either A) Alonso not wanting to sign longer term or B) Personal sponsorship contracts preventing announcements being made, i.e. Santander for Alonso and Infinity for Vettel.

The rumors i've heard seem to be that Alonso only wants a 1 year deal only with McHonda where as McHonda want atleast 2 years out of Alonso. Those are just rumors though.

Makes sense. Alonso wants to see if there will be any more cracks forming at Mercedes so he can jump ship there whereas Honda would want to not stress for a.replacement

Well, how do we want to read this statement from Eric Boullier?

Current McLaren driver Jenson Button is facing uncertain futures as a result of the Alonso interest, but Boullier said he is still in the running for a drive.

"I understand that he may not feel comfortable and he is obviously concerned about his future. But again, unfortunately, I'm in charge of McLaren Racing and we have to build the best for the team and drivers are obviously very important for our discussion.unately, I'm in charge of McLaren Racing and we have to build the best for the team and drivers are obviously very important for our discussion.

Uncle Ron, your charge, Mr. Boullier, feels it's unfortunate for him to be in charge of McLaren Racing. Were you aware of this? Seems no one wants that job now. Hmm...

:P

I would imagine that what was said and its text meaning would of been different.

I would though he mean that what he is unfortunately the one that has to make the decisions for the best of the team.

:hehe: I know. It just sounds incredulous when you read it exactly the way it was written in that piece. I love stuff like that. :hehe:

Such fun. :)

I think it's worded awkwardly but not inappropriately. In this case the unfortunately can only be related to the feeling of Button and his discomfort with the delay of a decision. I'd give this a 6 in the need to clarify scale. :hehe:

I think he means its unfortunate Button had previously run off telling everyone he would be resigned and that his experience was going to be handy with Hondas first year. Button obviously ignored erich and fell for Rons ruthless and cynical reassurances designed to get the best out of him for the races left, when he should have listened to erick instead of try going behind his back to charm Ron.

Didnt anyone think it a biot odd when erick said one moment we havent decided and wont till the last point, then next moment Jenson is telling everyone he will definitely be there and Erich having to backtrack a little to say he was happy with the current drivers? Why did Jenson sudenly tell everyone he was more or less signed up? that stuf doesnt work on the most successful Team owner in F1

IMO ofcourse

Jens got slack after the easy run he had with Martin. He forgot regular T P's are a little more streetwise. Jens!

Oh poo! I'm starting to feel sorry for Jens now! This can't be happening!

Don't worry RC once he accepts his fate he will turn on the team and give you all the fuel you need to settle back in the familiar and historically rich theatre of mr button wanting something without putting the effort in
He has already started turning on the team, like he gives a toss for Mag, and is now the helpful supportive older veteran only after what's fair - when he thought he was back in, crowing to the press about experience, that would have been helpful for young Mags

Let's see what happens but the last person to complain about loyalty when signing contracts etc is Jenson. Let's not worry too much about him in limbo waiting to hear when he broke a contract to drive arranged years ahead for a big fat cheque AFTer suing to get that contract in the first place

That's true, he's done the dirty in that department before. I'll keep that in mind if I start to weaken.
