Congratulations to Nico Rosberg for winning his home GP.

Can't even maintain their brakes at home ground, good show.

Didn't get a chance to watch practice sessions today because they were on delay due to the TDF, watched it just not and what shocked to see so many EMPTY grandstands, what's up with that? :yikes:

And not one give me this dwindling popularity crap as there are a lot of crammed to the brim circuits on Friday and Saturday. Maybe the heat and fair skins kept people away?

The grandstands at Hockenheim have never been the same since Schumacher's era of dominance in the late 90s and early 2000s. Not sure if it's all just down to Schumi though, because we've had Rosberg and Vettel enjoying success since.

Strange, but hopefully it'll get better on Sunday

Mercedes has posted this update earlier on fb and now getting thrashed in the comments section.

Looks like we have two new mechanics this weekend from Sky Sport! Pretty sure the guys in the garage won’t mind

Even I'm struggling to put the blame on little Lewis here. Unless it was his bad vibes sending themselves to the rear brakes. He can't help himself.

You could tell instantly it was a parts failure.

Hope he's ok.

Maybe it was his mental weakness that made him drive so fast when his brakes were busted. Maybe he should have been driving a lot slower just to be safe

What a daft dibbly-dobbly little track this is. No wonder numbers are down. It's more like a glorified go-cart track than a circuit for the cream of motorsport. I was no great fan of the original Hockenheim but I especially disliked the stadium section, and now it's all stadium section.

And I don't want to be the one to say it but Hamilton's two worst quali performaces have come when a certain you know who has been in residence.

Excellent stuff from Magnussen - he is starting to confirm what we saw earlier, oh dear Jenson is back to the ""missing balance"" excuse - 'the balance changed between q2 and q3, I dont know why that is' and ofcourse the tried and tested 'I was held up by traffic (just to see a car seconds ahead put me off)

Ron aint gonna buy that and although he will be disturbed by that performance, it might not be in the way Jenson is used to

Well, you know how it is with the man - another quali, another drama. And did I not say earlier in the thread how he might not even make it into Q3. I'm like Mystic Meg.
