New Jersey claims long-term contract The promoter of the Grand Prix of America says it has a 15-year long contract to stage Formula One from next season.
The race was originally set to debut on the calendar this year but it was postponed after Bernie Ecclestone said in September 2012 that the organisers "have not complied with the terms and conditions of the contract which is now gone anyway. They don't have a contract."

Lotus were Renault, then Renault quit and sold to Genii. However they were called Renault for another season for purely admin reasons. In fact if genii had changed engine that year to say Merc then they would have been called Renault Mercedes.
Renault left after getting shafted by Alonso/Piquet crashgate and became only an engine supplier, Genii then aquired the Lotus name. Its not even a Renault works team
I still think of them as Benneton, thats where the roots of their current standing lies I reckon
