I'm wondering if Hamilton went for a full wet weather setup, or a more extreme setup compared to Button. His pace throughout qualifying is just not like him.

Yeah. Im a little perplexed by Lewis' quali. About the first or second time Jens has beaten him without Lewis having an 'incident'. Respect to Jens. Or has lewis got something up his sleave?.....other than an arm :rofl:

Probably a flame retardant long sleeve vest below his overalls and over his arm.

I see that there are reports of Martin Whitmarsh being seen pottering about with the car whilst everyone was having their lunch. Apparantly he was dropping lead shot down the exhaust. Seriously, it's on Autosport.

Now our just being silly! martin may favour Jenson, but I think he falls short of interfering with the racing itself..... Unless of course you have proof otherwise????

Me? Silly? Never! It's as silly as saying that Whitmarsh doesn't support your favourite driver.

But back to dealing with facts, Autosport claim that Hamilton is hoping for a wet race so I think it is safe to assume that his car is possibly aimed towards a wet set-up.

So thats what's up his sleeve!! Lewis is good in the wet. :)

Now come on Andrew..sayin Witmarsh would actually interfere with Lewis' car is WWAAAAYYYY sillier than just saying he prefers Jenson.

Well the report doesn't mention a wet set-up. It just says he's looking for a wet race. Him being on a wet set-up is just (a reasonable) assumption on my part.

In fact, both are equally good for growing roses.

I seem to remember all this wet setup talk back in Canada. I think it was Button who said such a thing doesn't really exist anymore as the setups are basically so optimised anyway.

If it's changeable it'll be another great Button/Vettel battle, i predict.

Hopefully Bruno Senna can make the most of what was a good quali performance today and get some more points. :)

I would love to see him end the season on a high. He performed brilliantly in Q2 today.

I don't think Lewis is on a different setup, he's claimed he's dissapointed with the performance....and should be, 0.2s slower than Button is just.....

Hope for wet weather as well, and if Lewis performs like in Hungary and McLaren doesn't f**k up his strategy, the win is his. Let's go finish on a high!!

Sometimes Jenson is just quicker, Lewis is a quick driver but Jenson can be equally as quick on his day, the big difference between the two is that Lewis is better at wringing a cars neck when it isn't the best handling car, Jenson likes to have a balanced car to drive at his best, the McLaren looks good this weekend but the Red Bull's are faster as they have been most of the season!

Good Q from Barrichello, I would like to see him claim a point or two in front of his home crowd in which is likely to be his last race in F1!
