Webber's been gradually improving. Its obvious he didnt like the change to Pirellis. All he needs now is a win or a string of good results to get back in the game... problem is, Vettel is already in the game, so it will be tough to get that little mental edge going. He had it most of last yr, but Vettel kept his cool, while Webber lost it... could it be the other way around this time?

And this deserves a thread seperate from the race thread because........

Maybe he doesn't want to read through page after page of posts on the Germany Grand Prix thread? :irked: There are a lot of different aspects to each grand prix, why does it all have to be tied up in one thread.

Maybe there should just be one thread called "Formula One". Not sure why each race, year, driver,......etc. deserves its own thread.

People (myself included) tend to like things wrapped up neat and tidy.

I think the general rule is, if it's a big issue, even if it's centred around one race, it deserves its own thread, if not and it is based on one race weekend put it in the race thread. More people will read it, and refer back to it as the weekend progresses.

If it is something that deserves a special mention e.g. something controversial or earth shatteringly huge then fair enough start a thread. Alonso being ahead of Vettel in practice is hardly earth shattering.

Take it as a compliment.

So what, he wants to talk about it, let him make a thread without trying to make him feel stupid. If no one else cares about the topic it will quickly move down the list of threads un-noticed. Well, after a couple months it may move down the list of threads.

No one is trying to make anyone look stupid. I just don't see the point in opening a thread when there is nothing to discuss. All that will happen is Vettel bashing.

Unnecessary thread in the first place, now that it's turned into an argument... Let's take a vote, move it to the GP thread or let it fade into oblivion? The point of keeping a topic in one general area is to limit the amount of similar threads all potentially dominating page one of the forum. Moved here, so now we can get back to discussing the weekend's GP

Believe me, you won't be saying whoo whoo!! after 4 months. :(

Anyhoo, to the German GP. Just found this clip. Alonso's getting a bit frisky.

Seems McLarens problems were due to their experimental exhaust.

Watching today's practice, I noticed Mercedes has a "white" rear diffuser like McLaren had a few races ago with their titanium prototype... I wonder if Mercedes just stumbled onto a very improved rear diffuser design.
