As long as you're not one of those people that says that you don't trust someone who doesn't drink. Funnily enough, I don't trust people that say this. :hehe:

:hehe: No, I'm not one of those.

Audi wanted over 200 dollars to fix the airbag light on my car. A little bit of research and a 4.7k ohm resistor later, light fixed by me for a total of $3.78 including tax.

Someone I work with fixed their other halfs car by fiddling with a wire the other day. Fiat were apparently going to charge £60 for this and it only took a few seconds to fix!

I performed my civic duty yesterday and reported some fly tipping to the council. :D

Time for research, shopping and then installing? A few hours? And you're close to $200

When away from the distractions of everyday toil, I find myself swirling in what is presently a deep and dark pit of misery. The passing away of a dear relative who was sadly no longer in possession of sound sight, mind or hearing occurred far away from where my work took me on that most dark of days. However, I face the prospect of being barred from paying my final respects and uttering a swansong farewell, simply because of my line of work.

Of course, as eager students of the most precarious of professions, we were warned that the ever lingering shadow of death cannot be allowed to overwhelm us to the point of funeral attendance when a show is to be put on. How little we thought of it back then. Reality has since stuck it's finger up at me, the stubbornness of real life has pulled the carpet from under my feet and to say I'm unhappy about things is a serious understatement.

Seriously miserable times :(

Day 2 of my forklift training. Spent an entire day outside (in a storage tent) with a holwing gale and heavy showers outside. Now suffering what feels like minor hypothermia (probably just a chill). Heating going like mad, several layers on and I'm still not warm though I can now feel my feet! Hopefully day 3 will be better - it's meant to be sunny.

Sorry to hear that LewEng...I can relate to an extent. As RC says, the memories stay with you. :)

Thanks andrew, RC and Hammer :) Your comments mean a lot.

It's tomorrow actually, and my absence has sadly been confirmed by the theatre company's upper crust. :(

Still, life goes on I suppose... and as you say, there are many memories to look back upon and smile
