Ok. Since you've all asked,it went something like this

Drrrr Drrrrr Drrrr Drrrr (phone ringing)
HM- Helmut speaking (German accent for this bit)
MW- How dare you!!!
NM- I beg your pardon.
MW- That interview you gave. How dare you!
HM- Excuse me who is this?
MW- It’s Whitmarsh.
HM- I’m sorry I don’t know what you’re talking about.
MW- The interview you gave recently about McLaren. I’m really not happy about it
HM- But I was praising McLaren!!!!
MW- Yes. And Hamilton. You singled out Hamilton
HM-Yes. He’s our danger when he’s on form
MW- BUT YOU DIDNT MENTION BUTTON!!
HM- We feel our biggest danger comes from Hamilton
MW- But Button’s a really good driver. He’s a damn good driver! He’s done some of the best drives in F1 History this year. Do that again and you’ll be hearing from my solicitor!
HM- Bye Martin

Clearly I missed the memo earlier on. :D

This is a great video!

This is how you find a true Formula 1 material! A bit lucky, but, yet again, unlucky on the grid. A smart, opportunistic drive, and also a fast one. Alonso style! ;)

Here is also a great video, but from Vettel's angle... Even now, they are constantly scouting the youngsters...

i'm starting to doubt the legitimacy of your story....

On the other hand if we're posting Hamilton's overtakes

Lower formula overtakes

the captions can be a bit tacky and the songs gets quite repetitive but apart from that

Hamilton full of 'positive energy' again

Lewis Hamilton says he has built up a lot of "positive energy" since his victory in Abu Dhabi two weeks ago and he is hoping to carry that over to 2012.

Before his Abu Dhabi Grand Prix win, Hamilton had endured a difficult string of races and admitted he was struggling with issues in his private life. However, the McLaren driver insists that period is now behind him and that he has learned some useful lessons for 2012.

"I was talking to a friend recently saying it's been a difficult year, and he said it's been a year of growth which was one of the most positive things I have learned this year," Hamilton was quoted as saying by Autosport. "What I've learned this year I'll take into next, so I feel positive about it. I think in the future I'll look back on this season, smile and say 'I needed that'.

"I haven't really thought about the last victory: afterwards I was just back in the simulator and thinking about this race. But I have had a really good few positive days since then which have meant more to me than the race win, so I have got a lot of positive energy at the moment. There is only one driver who has won more [races], Sebastian, so it could be worse - but it could also always be better. If I look back on this year, while it's not been a year in which I have won the most grands prix and the championship, it has been a year where I have learned quite a bit.

"I think I will come out stronger: I can't say I am there yet, but when I get to the winter and reflect on the whole season I will. I'm definitely a lot wiser than when I started the season and that's always a positive."

However, Hamilton is expecting Red Bull to retain its on-track form in 2012 and believes it is up to McLaren to build a car capable of challenging the reigning champions.

"I have no doubts they'll carry on into next season, so it's our job to somehow make sure the car we carry over is better than this year's car by quite a long way, and from day one," Hamilton added. "Every year we try to arrive with a car that's the best but obviously we've struggled in the last couple of years.

"Since 2009 we've started better, and I think with next year's car we'll start on the right track. If we can do that we have the strength to stay ahead and compete with anyone. Time will tell."

Just to pour some oil in the fire  :

Martin Whitmarsh, Team principal, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes

“Today we saw yet another brilliant performance from Jenson, who has driven magnificently all season but particularly in the second half of it. It was his eighth podium finish in the past nine grands prix – and the odd race out in that splendidly consistent sequence was the Korean Grand Prix, in which he finished a fighting fourth.

Today he drove cleanly, shrewdly and patiently – but forcefully too – and the way he optimised his pace on the Prime tyre was masterful. He drove his two final stints on the Prime, in fact, which enabled him to hunt down Fernando’s Ferrari in the closing stages of the race to take a beautifully judged third place."

I was firmly on the fence in this conspiracy theory....but you gotta admit this is really laying it on thick...

Whitmarsh on Lewis:

Lewis drove extremely well today too, but unfortunately he was let down by gearbox failure. Quite early on, we noticed a loss of oil pressure, then he lost seventh gear, and then he lost all drive and was forced to call it a day. But prior to that he was improvising intelligently and never gave up. Moreover, his typically combative approach played a significant part in the afternoon's entertainment, and surely thrilled TV viewers worldwide. Lewis has had a challenging year - but his gutsy performances here and, in particular, in Abu Dhabi, where he took his third win of the season, represent an eloquent testimony to an emphatic return to form on his part. He's already focusing on 2012, and I'm sure he'll prepare for the new season with his customary determination and will to win.

_____________________

Maybe its just an insecurity issue...he's trying to match Ron Dennis on his insane vocabulary where Ron uses 10 words taken from the depths of a thesaurus which describes absolutely nothing....and Whitmarsh isn't exactly pulling it off in the same style.

In less than a handful of years, the only thing we'll all remember about 2011 is Vettel's dominance, and his 2nd WDC. Let's all have a warm and cozy off season.
