I'd be interested to know people's thoughts on the current GP2 lot and where they might fit in next season.

Valsecchi looks likely to win the title but i have no idea which team would take him on. Apart from that Razia to Caterham, and Gutierrez to Sauber if Perez goes?

David Croft was saying none of the GP2 guys have really stood out to break into F1 this year.

There is a lot of talent on the grid, and off, who have raced in F1. I don't see any GP2 drivers stepping up, unless they provide a lot of $£$£$$££

The first three months of a season...when people are trying to work out which teams would be fighting it out for the title! Always a fresh feeling...like clean laundry. :P

I love the quote from Seb, after he goes into great detail about how he can fight for #1 at Ferrari with Fernando and how they would work as teammates ...... then he adds "But the most important thing is that I’m very happy with Red Bull, and not at all thinking about leaving". Sure Seb, that's why you're always talking about driving for Ferrari Image

The best part about this would be Helmut turning up at Maranello only to be turned away by security :laughyes:

Sep.19 (GMM) Sebastian Vettel on Wednesday insisted that he would not be afraid to race against Fernando Alonso in the same team, amid continued speculation that Felipe Massa’s tenure with the team is coming to an end.

Even before Luca di Montezemolo named the German as an ideal Ferrari driver of the future, Vettel was strongly linked with a 2014 switch to the famous Italian squad.

He would not comment on the reports when asked by Auto Bild.

But Vettel did say: “I’m not afraid to go against Fernando in the same team, as in the end it’s good for the team if it has two good drivers, which means it’s also good for me because the challenge is all the greater.

“But the most important thing is that I’m very happy with Red Bull, and not at all thinking about leaving,” he insisted.

Vettel, currently 39 points behing the Spaniard with seven races to go, named Ferrari’s Alonso as the favourite for 2012 glory.

“His car is not as bad as everyone always says – only at the start of the season was he not really able to compete.

“In the end he has always been there in all conditions, and very reliable, which for me is why the Alonso-Ferrari package has been so far the strongest,” said the defending champion.

Vettel insisted that he is also still in the running.

“Of course it’s always better if you have a points lead,” he said, “but the approach doesn’t change. You always want to get the best out of yourself and the team.

“If you were making more of an effort as the hunter, that’s not a good sign because it means that you were not working hard enough beforehand.

“The goal is to win all the races and see what happens,” added Vettel.

Definitely a silly thought, and I know it wont happen, but wouldn't it just be great to see Nando, Seb and Lewis all in the same Ferrari's for a season. Can you imagine the competition between the 3 of them - especially at the start of the season - to be number one it that lot :cloud9:

So you've bought into LDM's 3-car teams idea? :yikes::hehe:

I'm into the idea of watching those 3 drivers competing in the same Ferrari - that's mouthwatering. :hehe: But, as I also said, "I know it won't happen" :(

Vettel maybe isn't scared but what about Alonso?

I can see it now. Vettel and Luca di Monty in a boardroom at Maranello signing the contract when Alonso, wanting to know what's hapening, enters the boardroom and :thedoor:

:hehe::whip:

It would never work all 3 in the same team, I think even 2 of them in the same team would never work, as I believe that because they are the greats that they makes them bad losers and that would cause all sorts of problems withing the team.

Mallya has come out today and said both his drivers are under contract for next year and aren't going anywhere... We know contracts can be broken, the statement is a disincentive.
