Wherever Perez goes in the future, I hope he goes to a team which can deliver him a competitive car. His performances this year have, for the most part, been remarkable.

When I was at Monza, I was talking to a man claiming to be William Buller's, (from GP3) father.

We were chatting away and I asked "is he one to watch for the future then".

His reply, exact, reply was - "Well Hamilton is going to Mercedes and Di Resta to McLaren".

That was it. Surely there is no chance his son can go from GP3 to F1. (did Kimi do a similar jump?)

I did ask if his source was a F1 insider and he said so. Not sure I believe it, but I would be delighted to see Di Resta in a top seat.

If Di Resta went to McLaren then I'd be overjoyed :D

And another couple of suggestions:

Hamilton Tweeted the sensitive data, because he no longer cares, he is already on his way out.

And Schumacher to Ferrari for a season replacement for Massa before Vettel arrives in 2014 on his already signed contract.

The last one sounds far fetched. Both parts of it.

If Perez does go to McLaren, I'd like to see him continue where Lewis left off and beat Button into a flat pancake. :whip:

Yep, when Lewis takes the No.1 with him to Merc in 2013, Perez will have the No.4 but in the end it's only a number. 8-)

Starting to think Mclaren might make the first move and get another driver before Lewis will even make his decision where to go and leave Hamilton no choice but go to Merc, That would do Merc some favours as they probably don't have to give Lewis that massive offer that was first reported.

What do you guys think? will Mclaren just go "stuff it" and get someone else or will Mclaren wait for Lewis to make his move first??

I don't know about that, If Mclaren signed a driver, then Lewis decided to stay. If you where Mclaren would you want another driver or Lewis (one of the best on the grid)

So as the other driver would you want to race next year or maybe have the chance at being in a Mclaren.

I personally don't think any driver worth his salt would do that to themselves, which means that only a desperate drive would agree to it, and desperate drivers are desperate for a reason.

Petrov is desperate. His manager said they will start looking for alternatives to F1 if he isn't making enough money in the sport.
