Clearly we can compare Korea with Abu Dhabi. We have the dry practice sessions to look at, even though the grip levels were different. Hamilton is in a good chance to finish on the podium. I do not think Alonso qualifying second is a great probability.
The Red Bulls cannot be beaten unless they have a technical problem or a gaff. And the drivers will swap if Alonso is third or fourth.
I think realistically, Alonso qualifying on hard tires would be the key. He can have a long first stint and get some clean air and put all the Red Bulls on edge, switching to options with 15 laps to go, and probably pulling out in third. The Red Bull drivers will switch and Vettel will be put under pressure from Alonso. Vettel might put in the drive of his life.
However, qualifying on hards, Alonso might only end up making it as high as 5th on the grid.
