yeh but it might be harder for engines now becuase there pulling more weight.

Just looking at the times and that Lap from Lewis was half a second faster than anyone else thoughtout the test.

Think it was at the end of a longish run.

In that case a question mark should be put over all the other engines as well seeing as they're also going to have to pull more weight, not just Cosworth.

Lewis' lap was on a short run in the last 15 minutes of the session. My take on it is that it was supposed to be a quick one. in the longer runs, he was posting 1:22s, similar to the long run pace of the Ferrari. No one else seemed too fussed about doing quick laps at the end so it's hard to tell what the others could have done. The McLaren looks to be one of the top 3 I would say though...

Looking at the timings on james allens twitter feed it seems a fairly short run:

Good running from Barrichello again, despite being kept in the garage at the end with a gearbox issue.

I thought Williams looked pretty lack-luster in Valencia but they have been much more lively in terms of times this week

Hamiltons lap was set on a short stint.

Still very quick anyway not sure if its the fastest car but its certainly a front runner.

In a recent interview with Sam Michael he revealed the team aren't interested in going for top times right now. Every run they did in the Valencia test was with heaps of fuel onboard and with the Cosworth turned down a fair bit. It's only just recently here at Jerez they've fired it up a bit more.

If that's still the team's stance right now and the upturn in pace is just coincidental then that's good news.

The Williams seems to be good on the long runs, haven't seen much in the way of low-fuel from them so far. Hopefully they're taking the opposite approach to last year and focusing more on race-pace where they seemed to have problems. Also, I'm hoping that the Cosworth will still be reliable when turned up all the way. Should add something to the team's lap-times and hopefully they will at least be challenging for podiums throughout the season, thought wins would be nice.

Also definitely nice to see some decent times from the VR-01 and a decent number of laps finally. Hoping that the next tests will have better weather so that the new teams can get more dry running.
