This is really quite surprising. With Formula One using a control tyre, I can't imagine it costs Bridgestone that much to be a tyre supplier. And what's making the news potentially a lot worse is that no other top tyre manufacturer wants to become involved in Formula One. It looks like the sport could be using Kumho tyres or something if things don't change.

The racing has been close and somewhat exciting. But why has F1 sunk so low??
shouldnt EVERYONE be willing to do anything to be F1's tyre?! guess not.

shows f1 is loosing its appeal if all these manufacturers dont want a part of it, maybe they have to pay a obscene amount of money to be part of it, like the race tracks themselves?

maybe a silly Q but would a breakaway series have worked or prevented a manufacturer exit ??

i dont think it wouldve made any difference, unless it was cheap, which it wasnt gonna be, then youd have 2 very poor series :/ shame
