13x3 cars = 39 cars :yikes:
Ok, maybe only the big teams are to run 3, so 6x3=18 + 7x2=14 = 32 cars. Still too many. Unless there's a new quali or even pre-quali procedure. And what about the points system? Not well thought through me thinks.

Bernie would love that, the more cars the more money, but tracks can't host more than a specific number (monaco can only hold 24) so it's not a possibility to have this number, although i am all in for three car teams, but the numbers must be balanced.

or something like that. 8-)

There's an easy way around that, (and one which Bernie would probably dislike) just make everybody draw straws and the ones with the shortest have to set up on patches of grass next to the garages.

I'm up for it.

But it doesn't include money, so no go for the FIA.

Could be a tad difficult in Bahrain and some other places :P

Monaco used to have a limit of 20 starters until the late 80's, but Monaco has had enough pit space for 26 cars before, so why not again?

However the pits complex has changed between 1995 and 2009, so that could be the snag.

If there was enough space in the pitlane, I'm sure the rules could be tweaked to allow twenty six cars to take part in the Grand Prix.

Yeah, I'm not so hot on the Badoer choice. I mean, I have nothing against him, it's just he's a professional TEST driver

Thank You! I'm a little surprised it took five pages of posts for someone to say it but I'll certainly second that opinion. I'd much rather see someone who's raced a car sometime in the century get the seat. I can only hope Ferrari are just using him on the short notice and actually will have a more suitable replacement for the remainder of the season (assuming Massa cant return). Its not there aren't several viable candidates available.
