This season will take months to pick up  or before Denthul says, before everyone is up to pace...don't want him getting his little knickers in twist now do we....

Huh? Once again, your idea that the season isn't good if Ferrari aren't at the top is just silly.

I'm joking, i love you really :hehe:

Diffusers explained a bit!
OK the first image shows the most simple of the Multiple deck diffusers which is Brawns it's a simple elegant double decker with the first deck highlighted red and the second deck Green. The First deck is considered the diffuser the Second is considered part of the bodywork and crash structure.
Image
This second image shows the intake holes (highlighted in a pinky purple colour) for the diffuser and this is where they are most legally questionable.

In simple terms. I think Green is connected to the red, I doubt it's anything separate. But wit the aerodynamics of it I think it is created to increase the overall down force and also it will shave the time down, now if you could get a picture of the Ferrari and do a comparison? You will see we lack down force hence the current bad times, but include the diffuser system that will also shave the time down massively in MY theory. Not fact

I had no idea Renault had a similar design declared illegal on them last year. :yikes:

No one disputes the fact that they increase the down force of the car! I just don't see any breach of the regulations.

Quadruple Decker Diffuser from Toyota

The first two images show the Toyota diffuser Red is for the first deck Green for the second Blue for the third and Yellow for the Fourth
Image
Image

The third Image highlights the questionable intakes in Pink
Image
I would also say the horizontal piece of the diffuser that separates the first deck(red) from the second deck(green) is acting as a diffuser and as a rear splitter.

That is nuts, now that compared to the Brawn is most definitely Illegal just look at it? I think the FIA should scan every car before passing it out on the track

Not if it's part of the rear crash structure ;)

The fact that Charlie Whiting and Jo Bauer have already approved it would suggest that your opinion is incorrect.

Maybe so, but the weight of the diffuser is attached to the crash structure; in which that could act as a weight to the crash structure to give them more down force in which would increase there overall pace? That is the problem all the teams are having....Down force but your opinions re going to be 'Sideways' as the team I am currently against is your drivers team. Hence why I back Schumacher to the Hills, you will do the same respectively....But see it from another fans views, otherwise you become a stubborn 10 year old girl

Thing is, I don't blindly follow the drivers I like. I'll be the first to criticise them when they're in the wrong.

And the reason I'm defending the diffusers is because I think that they're legal, and that all the whining is purely because the other teams are so enraged that they weren't smart enough to do it. Yes, it creates extra downforce and it does so in a very smart way. Being part of the rear crash structure makes it exempt from the dimension rules, therefore it is legal in that way.

What about Red Bull and Renault the FIA said their designs were illegal a year ago where as Brawn, Williams and Toyota didn't submit their designs so the FIA didn't see them until testing and when they did they said they were legal.

but it might also break the dimension rules, plus as we all know weight is a key in this, if they are using a diffuser that is mean't to help speed, wouldn't using it for 2 purposes be illegal? as it was built for one thing? but increasing the weight for extra down force should be wrong? plus attaching it to something that should be keeping you safe....Dangerous in which i thought we was improving ?
