Why do drivers wear watches in the car?

Do they? I thought they were banned from wearing anything like that, rings, watches, chains.

As I understand it, they are. That's why you often see them being given their watches once they head up for the Podium or whatever.

I'd love to go and laugh in the Honda directors' faces, it's still very confusing as to why they pulled the plug when they must have known about all the work that was going into this car... of course, hindsight is always 20/20 but anyway.

I reckon Honda couldn't give them the engine the car needed and it wouldn't look very good for a Honda car to be running a customer engine so they sold the team and said they'd have to get an engine from elsewhere.
