I don't understand why this is being blown out of proportion.

All the reports said was that the FIA would have to approve of McLaren supplying engines to more than two teams. Not "OMG look Mercedes aren't allowed to supply three teams but Ferrari are! BIAS!!!111!1"

I dont think McLaren would have offered a supply of engines without having the FIA's approval.

They had to, the FIA only gives its approval to things at pre-arranged dates.

That being said, the FIA has no reason - and would be ill-advised - to veto the deal.

Hi guys new to the forum so go easy on me!

I know it's only testing but i have to say im very shocked with the times Jenson and Rubens have set. Where do you reckon they will be in the pecking order when the season starts? I predicted rock bottom maybe along with Toro Rosso but now im not so sure???

Why did they take ages to announce Fry was still with the team? Everybody got their hopes up!

Although Im a little suspicious about the true pace of the Brawn car compared to the other teams, its pace is welcoming. I didn't want it to spend a season (much like Super Aguri in 2006) miles off the pace and trundling around the back of the field. However as everyone knows this would never be the case as the car was all ready to go before Honda pulled the plug. Hopefully this is the year where the Brackley boys finally live up to expectations of which they've spoke about for so many years. Ok these expectations are considerably lower than they were in say October last year, but there are still many with high hopes for the team.

Thats it! I had the feeling they would be the new super aguri (Even they werent sure if they were racing in Oz to the last minute). Ok they had according to Brawn a race-winning car but surely the testing they have missed out is going to cost them, especially as there is no more testing once the season starts.

Deffinetly, I think everyone is surprised by the pace of the BGP. Whatever way you look at it, its been 2 successful days

I also believed they'd be the new Super Aguri. The great underdog story, Sato overtaking Alonso. But the way things are going, it's like they'll be an instant success. It's early days, but they aren't going to be underdogs if they are fast from the off. All the same, the team has got some serious fan-backing, and for good reason. They're a real honest independ team, and they have some serious talent onboard.

But I don't want to make early assumptions. I'll wait till the Aussy GP. 16 days to go, feels like a lifetime.
