Rubens is nicer. Button has never done it for me. he certainly isnt rapid enough to pose any threat to lewis. But this british angle I dont get. I choose my drivers because they excite me behind the wheel not because they are British  Hill I liked, coulthard I didnt, Button nope, lewis -the best. Juan I loved and not British. So you're wrong.

Yeh but if the test times reflect live pace then Mclaren will be last, i'm not saying there going to be but if LH is in a dog of a car then he's got no chance of keeping up with the front runners.

I think we'll get it sorted tho might be intresting to see JB and LH racing to see of JB really is as good as his previous paychecks made out?

I'm not entirely convinced by the pace of Brawn Gp myself, but I'm open to be proven wrong in Melbourne and beyond.

He aint nowhere near lewis. Fast yes, very very fast when all conditions suit but if one is out of kilter he cant drive round the problem and he's screwed.
Sincerely hope the McLaren isnt a dog but if it is, then all you guys that think a champion can only be greet when he's driven a crap car will get a chance to have your conditions fullfilled.

He aint nowhere near lewis.

You have absolutely no way of knowing that. But have your fun.

I'll let Jenson make his own case on the tarmac.

I think its pretty clear.

Anyway looks like jens might have the good car and lewis the dog so if he dont deliver now......and if Ruebens blows him away........agen..... :(
Now lets see, which of lewis' team mates have blown him away..er..none :hehe::hehe:

I really, really hope that all the rumours are true and that Brawn have mostly been doing long stints. I know Rubens' lap today was a low-fuel qualifying simulation, but with that kind of sheer speed, pole positions and fastest laps later in the race shouldn't be much of a problem for the team. I really, really hope that Rubens gets some wins this year and maybe has the chance to fight for the championship. Or at least impress Ross enough to allow him to keep his seat in F1 should he wish to do so next year. :)

If RB impresses and gets some good results, but can't compete for the title, I'm pretty sure Brawn would like to hire a really quick driver for next year in order to go for the championship with RB having shown the potential and thus enabling Brawn to attract big sponsors and bid with the big boys for star drivers.

As you all know Lewis is my man and therefore I want a fast McLaren, yet Im delighted for Brawn F1 and wish them all the best. Reubens deserves this and Im glad Brawn realised it. Next they need a fast charger to learn from Ruebens and it should be senna. Just my opinion.

Barrichello: Brawn GP to surprise in '09

By Pablo Elizalde Friday, March 13th 2009, 09:43 GMT

Rubens Barrichello is adamant that his Brawn GP team will be the surprise of the 2009 season following its dream debut in testing at Barcelona this week.

Despite the former Honda Racing team being saved at the last minute by a buyout from Ross Brawn, its BGP-001 car has been the star of testing in Spain, with Barrichello setting the fastest time of the week on Friday as he comfortably outpaced his rivals.

And although testing times are usually misleading, Barrichello is convinced his team is in a strong position to shine in 2009.

The veteran racer believes team work is the key to having such a good car after such a difficult period for the Brackley-based squad.

"It's team work and the belief that they had in the two drivers," Barrichello told the official Formula One website.

"I believe in myself and Jenson being top of the list among the drivers - although I can see plenty of good drivers in Formula One - and the team did a fantastic job to produce a good car.

"Right now, all I say would (only) mean that I would put myself under pressure for the first races.

"All I can confirm is that it is a good car, that it is a good engine, it is a good group and I think we will be the surprise of the year."

Barrichello, however, said he did not want to get too carried away too soon.

"I don't want to step in front of my thoughts and think that it is a deal done for the year, but it is a great start," he said.

"It's a great group doing a good car - and (all) that after months of complications and political things. The good guys were working doing this car marvellously - now we just have to keep on doing. I think we have a good chance to have a car to surprise."

The Brazilian also admitted he feared for his future in F1 while the team fought for survival.

"I think it is fairly early to speak about the championship. All I can say is that I've been waiting for this moment for a long time.

"I was afraid back in Brazil that I wasn't going to put my expertise - and my happiness - into a nice car, because I didn't know if I was going to drive or not. I am really happy to say that this year is going to be a happy one."

Barrichello winning races would be awesome this year.
