disappointing times from McLaren :( The bit on the back of the diffuser could be some sort of large gurney flap never seen one on a diffuser before though. Brawn Gp seem to be going ok good to see :)

From what i'm reading it could be sandbagging. or it could be used to isolate the rear wing so they can look at its issues.

eitherway it should expain the laptop times since its creating drag and reducing aero grip so the backend will be really loose

I LOVE that BRAWN GP car. Definitely going to be supporting them this season. Hopefully they will get a new livery though. Or at least replace the yellow/green with blue or a better green.

I'm still really worried about McLaren though. Bottom of the leader board? That's not good at all. If they are sandbagging, what would be the point?
Maybe a year with an uncompetitive car might help Hamilton, though? Or at least prove that he is as good as people say he is.

Cheers bud, I've been wanting to see the car's rear.
That is a hell of a diffuser. No wonder they weren't showing it.

And that's with the 2009 wing, isn't it? :(

The BGP 001 does have a very interesting diffuser and I was impressed by the amount of time Jenson held the number one spot on the time sheets. Still, fourth is respectable for a first test. It's also nice to see the Renault up there, with the Toyota consistently snapping at Ferrari's heels. Interesting that Bourdais managed a faster lap than Webber - maybe Renault didn't quite get their engine pumping out as much power as the Ferrari unit? I doubt it will matter too much over the course of the season, though. :)

Also, it is once again nice to see Heidfeld topping the sheets. Hopefully this will be the kind of form that BMW Sauber can pull off throughout the whole season.

they were using a new floor, Mclaren are up to somthing..

front wing is s*** tho compared to every other team.

Rectifying the issues they have with the rear wing, I would imagine? They definitely seem to need to reduce drag, considering the straight-line speeds they've been doing today :/

An interesting read about McLaren's new floor design. But it does beg the question, why are they still flat last. If McLaren have a front-running car, it's hard to see why it would be last. Perhaps the floor design is extremely experimental and will take a bit of time to get right. We'll see though. I still don't count McLaren out, but it would be interesting to see Lewis in something other than a race wining car.

As for Brawn GP, well they claimed they had a front running car in development, and it seems like it wasn't that much of an exaggeration. I doubt it's a victory challenging car, but mighty impressive all the same. Although, I will say this. Nearly all of the cars this year have been out of the box quick. Still it's hard not to get a bit excited about such pace.
