Yup, it is indeedy. And thanks for the welcome! My friend from school started writing for the news section here and said he'd be covering our launch, so I thought I'd check the place out. Even if he was mean to me about the R29! :irked:

Wow lucky, the only Formula 1 driver I've seen in person is Timo Glock.

...mean to you about the R29? Does he not like it? The thing that bothers me the most about the R29 is the new livery, I really liked the old one. :(

The word horrific was used, and he also said that I have helped to create something 'truely hideous'. :( I'm not overly sure about the nose, but I think overall it's hot, and as has been said it doesn't matter if it goes fast! And I LOVE the cars without all the x-wings and flicks and stuff. Nice and curvy!

The nose is hawt. Likewise, curves are hawt. The Williams and Renault are nicer than the Ferrari, McLaren and Toyota for that reason. I imagine that the BMW Sauber will be wider and curvier, too.

:O

Both Williams and Renault are beautiful

Hurray! Agreement! :)

I thought the Anvil Wings, that appear on the awful looking Renault, were banned for this season.

ITV-F1 sum up:

"The ’09 aero regs include a front wing with a standardised middle section that will be much less aerodynamically effective than current wings, as well as restrictions to upper body downforce-generating barge boards and winglets, all slightly offset by a more powerful underbody diffuser."

Doesn't mention the engine cover, and I don't remember anything about those being restricted in the issue of Racecar Engineering which went over the new aero packages... Plus, Toyota have one too! I'm trying to remember if the shark fins had even been seen when the new aero regs were developed...

Also, I'm starting to take offence at all the mean comments about the R29! ;P

That photo was taken in the race bays at Enstone. :D I work at RF1, hence being somewhat overly attached to the R29!! Heh.

That, right there, is sheer awesome.

I see.
What do you do there?
I thought/presumed that you may have come across Alonso in Oxford, as he lives their doesn't he? and your thing says Oxfordshhire.

Put 2 and 2 together and got 4.5!

I reckon it's a shame Williams don't stick with their testing livery, it might be plain but it looks very graceful. The tail end of the R29's sidepods are pretty striking, I like the way they seem to 'roll in and under', although I'm still unsure about the fin.

I started off doing my final year project for university, then got a project-related contract in the reliability group and now have a contract in the design office until the end of March. I do various bits of admin work for the designers, check that drawings are setup on our release system correctly and deal with queries from production about the drawings which have been released, including minor mods to the drawings. Anything which helps free up the designers and/or my boss (design office manager) to get on with their jobs, basically!

Fernando's over in Switzerland now. Seem to remember that he stopped getting taxes breaks when he moved from working for a French employer over to McLaren, and that was the end of his stay in Blighty.

That sounds like fun. What sort of stuff do you get to see?

I'd love to work for a Formula 1 team. In particular, the nerd in me would like to get its hands on Albert 3 >.<

Did you see any McLaren documents lying around Renault F1 HQ?
#88474
Good job then. Secure?

Ah my cousin lives in Oxford and David James (Football goalkeeper) came into her shop.

WOW that would be good.
Put shame to my netbook!
