Truck overturns, 400 sheep killed

A semi-trailer has overturned on a wet road in NSW's south, resulting in the deaths of 400 sheep while the driver and his young son were also injured.

The two-tier stock transport truck was travelling on the Mulwala-Barooga Road, after leaving the Corowa stockyards, when it left the road about 6.40pm (AEST) yesterday.

"The vehicle veered onto the gravel verge in heavy rain and the driver lost control," the NSW Police Force said today. "The rig came to rest across the east-bound lanes of the roadway."

Police say about 300 sheep were killed in the crash, and another 100 animals had to be put down because of their injuries. Just 50 sheep survived.

Albury Police are investigating the cause of the crash.

They used to make Mortadella I think it was with Donkey meat. They should again to get rid of some of you McLaren Donkeys.

I have made a few phonecall's and so far no 'family member's' were involved thank God although since it's the land of McLaren you might want to make a few call's also .

You guys and gals know me as I have to say something so bare with me ok? As I had mentioned in the Lewis dissenters thread, this thread should be left for the dissenters because they do deserve a place were their opinion's can be voiced without any outside bias, right? Let's play fair is all I am asking?

No reason to apologize mate as I understood . I had to take the dog's out and realized that I meant to include myself aswell so I was not casting blame on anyone or anybody specifically. The dissenter's thread's can be viewed as one's 'hideaway' so to speak and we all need those every once in awhile.
