Man, that sucks, couldn't you see if they'd 'remark' that section? You may get the extra point and it'd save the effort of doing it again i guess...

No 'remark' option is available but no sweat I will pass next try as I now have a guideline to assist me. Here is a funny coincidence I got home and check the mail and I recieved an invite to the orientation class for prospective cadets set for Monday. I have everything covered as far as the physical requirements but man the cardio is gonna be tough, I hope I dont strokeout on a 4 mile run :hehe: !

Thanks for the support and I will keep everyone updated on my progress if yall want me to?

Thats poo

Bit like me with the RAF, I failed what I wanted to do by 5 marks GRRR and now I may have had a change in what I want to do in the RAF, even though its still within the Intelligence part
Good Luckies anyways :)

That sucks big time Tex, reminds me of some of my failed driving tests where I only got one puny major. But I still passed it eventually.

The day I do my driving test :hehe::eek::eek: It may make the evening news

Those puny majors bugged the hell out of me. I remember I failed my test because of another speeding motorist.
When doing a hill start, I done all of my checks and when i looked over my blind spot etc a car was pulling into the road at the bottom of the hill, which is a hundreds of yards away, but as I pulled out suddenly he braked and gestured as to if I had impeded him... Fact of the matter was there was no way at 30mph he'd have been up the back of me. He was clearly speeding, especially as he overtook me heading out of town...

Thanks for all the support and I know I will pass it on the next try as I found some notes that detail exactly what they are looking for and I wont have the stress and self doubt on my shoulder's concerning the other test that I made an A on. Also I'll be starting the gym on Monday so I have three week's to get hardcore on the cardio, I know not alot of time, but all the other physical test they require are a walk in the park compared to the four mile run's. I'm hopefull and pretty sure that they will help build us up for those long run's, the academy is 5 1/2 month's long, M-F from 8am-5pm.

Thank's again for all the support,
Gregg

PS,
Hannah best of luck with your next testing session also.

Well I made a huge decision today, I called into work saying I will not be there and that I will only work on weekend's from now on. I made this abrupt decision knowing how important my physical training is to the overall success of my goal of becoming a police officer. I joined a local 24hr gym and I have 6 week's to focus and prepare :). With a community park just across the street I started running yesterday and have already measured the 1.5mile's I need to pass the PT test.

PS,
Sorry I forgot to add that my hour's have been cut from 30-40hr's per week down to around 20-23hr's so it's not as if I am missing anything just focusing on the bigger picture.

Well on a sad note it seem's the police academy for myself will be postponed till next semester but I have done all I can do at this point. Everything will be fine as it just mean's I have 6 month's to fully focus on my physical fitness which will put me physically way ahead of the rest of the class, I can also study for the state exam in the mean time!!

I'm bummed but not disheartened or distracted from my goal :) .

Recieved some great news today and all I can say is there is nobody on earth who loves you more than your mom. I have been very bummed as of late because the financial aid I was offered would not cover my fuel cost, car and insurance payments while in school. Having the greatest mother in the world she offered to cover whatever cost I will need while in school. I think alot of this has to due with my uncle Maurice, the sheriff, being diagnosed with colon cancer and knowing how proud he is of me trying to follow in his footstep's.

So basically I'm feeling very humbled yet loved at the same time. I lost track for awhile because I lost my focus but I'm back on track now :) .

Thanks for listening,
tex

Just found out yesterday that the police academy now offers a partime class from 8-12:30 which means I can still foot my own bill and not be a burden. Man I never thought I would be back in school after a 25yr layoff :hehe: .
