But no what Massa did was not to block to preserve his position, rather he was part of a corralling maneuver. This was a planned action by TWO drivers and nothing like what Hamilton did at all.
So Kimi won because he and his team mate were co-operating, as opposed to the Mclaren guys.
That start was a beautiful display of teamwork. Massa had the lighter car (I reckon Kimi had quite a few more laps of fuel remaining when he came in) and so Kimi let him go through the corner first, even though he almost had the advantage and then very firmly closed the door on Hamilton, which allowed Alonso past (and that really rattled Hamilton's cage).
I read in an interview where Massa was asked if he and Kimi were friends (the way he and MS were) and he said 'no' but he stated that he thought that Kimi was extremely fair and I think that if things had been the other way round, Kimi would have done exactly the same thing, and Massa knew it, because there is an element of trust and respect between the two, even if they are not friends.
That's what wins championships, not the revolting behaviour we've seen from Mclaren this year. Ron's Freudian slip (WE were racing Alonso) put the final nail in the coffin. They deserved to lose and I hope that they spend the next six months working on getting their team to work like one, not a bunch of individuals with opposing agendas. Hell, I reckon they'd have done better if they'd split into two teams and raced each other!!!
