I am not gonna discuss who is the best driver of them all. This is something they have to battle for. But they have to do it in a fair, sportsmanlike and honorable way. I believe that LH did not act like that when he did not allow FA pass him to get an extra lap fuel. And you may think that is something extraordinary or bizard team orders but in fact Alonso had allowed Hamilton to pass in previous races. Hamilton did not allow Alonso to get the best possible options within the race, desobeying team orders.
Had Alonso deliberately waited on the pit lane, I would have been dissapointed myself. However, as is known now, he was just obeying the team orders as a reaction for LH's action.

At the end of the day, Alonso got punished for his pitlane blocking, McLaren got punished for the way they lied and tried to cover up the whole thing and almost bringing the sport into disrepute, it's quite simple really. Hamilton won because he kept quiet and laid low after his row with Ron, and then got the job done.

The FIA have not said this. It is mere speculation. In their press release nothing was mentioned of McLaren's actions after the qualifying session, only what went on during it, in which case there is no rule McLaren can be penalised on. Despite initial doubts, it seems McLaren's story is basically the truth. I really hope McLaren appeal this - I'm not certain why Norbert Haug is so against it - because they have a strong case.

OK, if all u want to believe LH is better tahn FA u r free to think that, u wont be realistica at all, but believe whatever u want, cause it looks like u r blind!!!

Come on!!! LH didnt win anything yet, he is doing pretty well, but he has to learn that he can not win at the offices, he has to run and accept sometimes he is gonna lost...

Well, the result this season are good for him, but please, who ishim inside the F1 world? he is nobody yet, maybe he is gonna be the best of the best, but we dont know... Fernando won the last two years, so come on, be realistic, Alonso is part of the history of this sport because of winning!!! Be realistic, and if u dont like, feel sorry for u, but thats the tru and the history...

I think is better for everyone if McLaren appeals. Ok, the punishment to the driver was ok (unavoidable), but nothing else to do. The punishment to the team has, simply, NO REASON.

I think McLaren could manage its drivers better.

I think Alonso should leave McLaren too. Dominos Pizza are hiring drivers.
There is something i don't understand in you. Are you talking about FERRARI, calling it "Dominos pizza"? The one who won FIVE WC in the last seven years? Who are talking you about?

I agree. But a driver that is not difficult to manage is, usually, easy to beat.

"Allegedly, Ferrari are trying to get Lewis Hamilton on-board for a cool £17 million. Fiat bosses have told Ferrari that they see Hamilton as the natural successor to retired great Michael Schumacher and they believe the rookie’s talent, will to win, personality and work ethic will lead the scarlet team into a new winning era."

This is a quote from Forumula1.com news. While others, notably the Spanish contingent on this forum, are speculating on Alonso moving to Ferrari, it appears that others are speculating that Ferrari would much rather have Hamilton on board. I think if Alonso was banking on Ferrari being interested, he might as well just get a job delivering pizzas!

The name of the natural successor to retired great Michael Schumacher is Sebastien Vettel. The natural place for LH is, in my opinion, McLaren. The British people who loves this sport has been waiting for more then ten years to win WCConstructors and WCDrivers. This is a great chance. Is a great driver that just needs some experience. Best whishes to LH. Please, while talking about F1, there is non need to talk about pizzas. If you don't like to talk with me or the others ferrari's fans, say it clearly and i'll delete mi account, for me it doesn't matter. Thare are many british people with wo to talk freely about races. You're not the only.

I have absolutely no objection to any F1 fans of any persuasion, although I might disagree with them. I don't find your posts disagreeable at all. Supeindesu and Alonso Campeon get on my nerves occasionally but thats because they simply post the same old crap ad infinitum. I agree that Hamilton would be better staying with McLaren and I don't believe he'll be tempted to leave. I just wish that Alonso would leave. I think he's a petulant prima donna and the only way in which he will ever be Schumacher's natural successor is in his willingness to use any dirty trick in the book to win.

Thank you for you kind clarification. While talkin' about something that exist in our blood, sometimes everyone of us is tempted to offend the others. But i see that you got a brain, and you can talk FREELY about formula 1 with me without need to talk about pizzas, and you know what i mean. To respect the opponent is a british way that you should teach to me. I suffer when i read that someone talking with me about F1 uses pizza, uses Mafia, uses offending words. I can accept it just by people who have no brain, but i know you have got one, and when it happens made by you, my suffering is a double one.

Thank you. There is no need to apologize. My need was just to be understood, and you've done it, for me is more than enough.
