Yeah, likewise, I think there comes a point when there comes a danger that things just go round in circles, and I think it's clear that we both have our views that aren't going to affect the thought process of the other. And I'm fine with that. :)

And this is what's missing from most discussions on this Forum, people not knowing when best to stop.

Hats off to both of you.

Why on me? You think I'm rich?

I was the first to call time on my involvement in this but hey, I'm used to being overlooked whenever I come up with a good idea at work only to see it be actioned a couple days later and get no credit whatsoever.

Did anyone watch the funeral coverage?

The BBC Scotland news just showed a heap of people celebrating and popping champagne! It's very sad to see people behaving like that, especially older adults who you'd think would have the brain power to actually think things through properly and get over the massive chips on their shoulders.

Removing her from power would've been the time to celebrate if you feel like that, not when an old lady dies.

Exactly. But I don't see what these people have to celebrate. Their miffed at the mines being closed by Margaret Thatcher but having a party when she pops her clogs isn't going to reopen them! That's the warped style of thinking that'll push through Scottish independence and drag us all back to the dark ages.
#355247
They can celebrate if they want to, you don't need to like it. It's what living in a democracy with freedom of expression against the government is about.

I know people have freedom to express themselves but this is no expression against the government, I'm not sure who it is they're meant to be expressing themselves to tbh. It's not the current government, it's not her, maybe her family?

Actually there were more mines closed under Wilson than Thatcher. Scargill politicised I for his own political agenda to bring down the government.
