Every race , practice times aren't designed to be competitive, in 2011 Redbull were nowhere in practice. It's only really P3 where the teams try for ultimate pace.

At anyrate, I thought the Hamilton fans had already given up on McLaren? I'm sure the team are sabotaging him, seriously, what would their motive be?

You have to admit that Lewis's sudden confusion in P2 seems odd right? as for the motives of Mclaren its really simple...Would you want the current world champion driving for you next season? or would you want Lewis to take it to Mercedes?....Brawn were pretty mythed when Jenson left them and went to Mclaren with the number1 and im quite sure Mclaren dont want that to happen either.

You don't think that winning the world championship would be the bigger benefit for Mclaren? Even if the driver left, he still would have won it with Mclaren.

The benefit to Mclaren for winning the WCC... millions more in revenue. The added benefit for McLaren winning a WDC with Lewis, relatively ZERO, so it is in their best interest to have both drivers do as well as possible in each race if they want to cut the Red Bull deficit in the WCC, which in my opinion is still wide open.

No! to just ignore Lewis's sudden brain fade in the last two races(or should i say practice sessions the last race and this race and its already been revealed that a dodgy suspension component that effects the balance of the car when you set it up was the root cause in Japan....hmmm.) after being the fastest man in 3 of the last 4 races before japan is lunacy in itself...We are just stating the obvious about what we see happening before our eyes which looks to me like Lewis has completely lost support of the team in critical moments leading up to a race. (i would have liked to add Spa in there too but the rain in practice meant that JB AND LH went in opposite directions on a gamble so i have no proof LH would have been faster though i believe with 3 dry practice sessions he would have been cos he was on totally in good form)

Well they certainly aint supporting him at the moment...his teammate is leaving him for dust in the race if P2 is anything to go by.

Dear me...you think we dont take this into account? Of course we understand the value of WCC but having a current world champion driving for you during a season holds a hell of a lot of commercial value too. Mclaren are gambling by backing JB now but i think its a gamble they are willing to take. I hear what all of you are saying that you dont think Mclaren would jepardise the WCC or favour JB over lewis for the title at this point....personally i believe they would.

I find it very hard to believe he's not being supported. He's still part of the team and still vital for their world championship ambitions. There is no benefit to not supporting him.

I have put my argument forward and i stick by what i say and my reasons for believing it are in what i have written. Also....the amount of time i have been watching f1 is irrelevent so dont act like you know more about the sport than me cos you dont...i follow it just as passionately as you do thank you very much.

Personally I think it is better to look at the long run times that flat out speed. unless of course you flat out speed would mean that you are going to qualify near Grosjean.

It wasn't intended as a serious comment, just a playful dig at the part I emboldened (see the entire 2009 season where Williams were constantly topping the practice timesheets and looking strong, only to be nowhere in qualifying and the race). But if you want to be like that, go ahead.

lol fair enough...tho had i not stated that i do understand f1 the chances are i would have recieved a few more "playful digs" from you regarding my lack of understanding whenever i question something going on at a top team such as mclaren which by the way i would argue its more of a human issue we're talking about rather than a technical understanding of the sport. For example my argument would be that perhaps emotions run high behind the scenes and people make decisions based on impulse during periods of this high emotion where perhaps logic goes out the window be it Ron Dennis(who Lewis admitted he is yet to speak to since he signed for merc) or a bitter mechanic/engineer.....idk but to me something just doesn't feel right.
