YES!! YES!! YES!! (I'll stop there :P )
Yeeehaa!!, he dominated! That was an ace performance!! I couldn't get on before cos I had to wait for BBC highlights. That was so lewis!! :cloud9:
Really pleased to see the Lotus boys up there, and to see Senna in Q3. Thats my best three things.
Lewis on pole (the very best)
Grosjean 2nd and Kimi doing good.
Senna getting in the mix
:cloud9::cloud9::cloud9:

The best thing that could happen for this Championship is for Lewis to win tomorrow. Having a really good car going into the Summer break will create anxious moments and sleepless nights for other teams over the 5 weeks they are not allowed to work. I'm not being selfish...just thinking about the heightened level of excitement going all the way to the last race, maybe last lap. I would love to see this be a Lewis vs. Alonso year. Epic stuff! :)

I'm just saying...

That would be good. I love it when those two go head to head.

Incidentally, did anyone else notice that on Seb's Q3 run he had all four wheels off the track at turn 14? Not allowed I thought! Becoming a bit of a habit now. :nono:

Just realized something about Q today, the track certainly got slower in Q3 as 8 out of the 10 drivers in Q3 managed SLOWER times than their Q2 results. The only two quicker? Lewis Hamilton and Romain Grosjean.

Same thing happened with FA in his pole lap in Germany - no sanctions either.

It's interesting how lax F1 really is; I was watching GP3 qualifying yesterday and every time a driver set a fast lap by going off the track, the time was thrown out, F1 should have the same rule; if any car leaves the confines of the track during a hot lap, that time should be disallowed.

Don't they add fuel for Q3 because they have to fill it with what they want to run in the first stint of the race with?

No this was in previous years. They need to run in the setup which they will be running in the race, but qualifying loads can be qualifying spec.

Well, it wasn't clear as to whether Nando had one tire touching the white, but, either way it was never a penalty. But, didn't Horner come out and say Alonso should have been penalized? I wonder if he's going to report his own driver on the same grounds? :hehe:

It's about heating up the tyres for McLaren, takes a few laps to get their car up to speed. Of course in qualifying you don't have the time to make 3-4 laps at a stretch. Malaysia this year on full wets they held their own easily....Lewis had pit stop trouble which dropped him behind Alonso, and they were lapping at the same speed. It was Perez who was on the move.

I wonder how far Alonso will be able to climb this time? Damage limitation? Or will he still manage to somehow make the podium again?

If we have a full dry race, he might even fall back. A wet race, and anything can happen even Button could win.

Clear, hot and dry at the moment it seems. Here's a tweet from Martin Brundle on twitter:

Yes getting really wet at Hungaroring now. With sweat, baking hot and blue skies
