Practice means very little. It's just a test session so who knows what they were doing to each car. Qualifying will be the first indication of Senna's pace compared with Petrov.

Well this quali could well \be a l;ottery anyway.

Yep, a lot of it depends on the weather.

Ok... first Q of Senna:
VERY well done. It doesnt matter much more anymore... he already showed the potential.

Like i said a lot during the Piquet jr times... Piquet never showed ever a single glimpse of his potenital speed. Senna in 1 race already showed it like 3 times.

I think Heidfeld is going to be quite busy with his lawyers cause thats the only way he will get his seat back.

Well he beat him :) (Not gloating here, I really like Petrov as well). I think its a much more exciting pairing now.

Grand job by Senna. Really pleased to see him up there ahead of Petrov and in 7th. I hope it gets even better for him in the race.

Not a bad effort at all. The race is where it really counts, though.

Yeha, but in Bruno's case, he's not really going for a championship or anything. He only has to prove he has the potential, and then the races will be the next bussiness. But the Q is good to at least show he is not "slower" than Petrov, something which Heidfel had a tough time proving.

Doesnt even matter if he is actually able to beat him. I dont think people are expecting that this soon in... I think these are both 2 decent drivers.

Wow...

Amazing how 'names' can help your career. Good sponsorship and 'branding' for Renault I guess. Senna barely beat the average Karun Chandok.

Look forward to Vitaly Petrov kicking his butt in these 8 races.

I just went out and bought some Tesco Humble Pie if youd like some Hammer :hehe:

the conditions couldnt have possibly been any trickier and he outpaced Petrov from Day 1.

It's tricky isn't it? There's no doubt that Bruno has been aided massively during his career because Ayrton Senna was his uncle. Everyone wants to see a great name return, as we all did with Nico Rosberg.

But there's also no doubt that he did excellently today, and it was great to see.

Today was a good day to be an F1 fan. I found myself cheering Senna on in every Q session. He's got the remainder of the year to stamp his authority on the race seat for 2012, Grosjean may be out of a job, well not *OUT* of a job, he is driving LMP1 cars.
